  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Not in line to play Sunday

Mostert (knee/ankle) isn't expected to play Sunday at Baltimore, Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network report.

He's been playing through knee and ankle issues since Week 11, and even though the running back managed just one limited practice this week, coach Mike McDaniel told Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald on Friday that Mostert "should be good" to suit up this weekend. If Mostert indeed goes down as inactive about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, rookie De'Von Achane likely will be the Dolphins' lead option out of the backfield, with Jeff Wilson and Chris Brooks also on hand for any reps that linger.

  • Tony Pollard RB | TEN

Cowboys' Tony Pollard: Minimal production on 17 touches

Pollard rushed the ball 16 times for 49 yards in Saturday's 20-19 win over the Lions. He added one reception on three targets for zero yards.

The good news is that Pollard dominated touches out of the Dallas backfield, handling 16 of the team's 21 rushing attempts. The bad news was his efficiency on those touches, as he managed only 3.1 yards per carry, with nine of his attempts going for fewer than three yards. Pollard now has been held out of the end zone and kept under 60 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

  • Jahmyr Gibbs RB | DET

Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs: Inefficient night in close loss

Gibbs rushed 15 times for 43 yards and brought in one of three targets for no gain in the Lions' 20-19 loss to the Cowboys on Saturday night.

The electric rookie couldn't quite get loose for any significant gains Saturday night, with his longest run going for just 17 yards and Gibbs averaging just 1.9 yards per carry on his other 14 totes. He was also held without positive receiving yardage for only the second time all season, and Gibbs also saw his three-game touchdown streak snapped. The first-round pick will look to put together a better performance in order to head into the postseason with some momentum when the Lions face the Vikings in the Week 18 finale Jan. 7.

  • Lions' David Montgomery: Paces backfield in loss

Montgomery rushed 14 times for 65 yards and a touchdown and failed to bring in his only target in the Lions' 20-19 loss to the Cowboys on Saturday night.

Montgomery's rushing yardage total led the Lions on the night, and he notably outpaced backfield mate Jahmyr Gibbs by 22 yards despite seeing one less carry. Montgomery also was the only one of the pair to get into the end zone, recording a three-yard scoring run in the third quarter for his 12th touchdown of the campaign. The veteran did fail to log a receiving stat for the first time in Week 12, but with six trips to the end zone in the last six games, he heads into the Week 18 finale against the Vikings on Jan. 7 with plenty of momentum.

  • Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Expected to play Sunday

Edwards-Helaire (illness) is expected to play Sunday against the Bengals, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Edwards-Helaire is officially listed as questionable but should be able to go Sunday, despite missing practices Thursday and Friday. Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) is also listed as questionable but is expected to play after clearing concussion protocol, so Edwards-Helaire will likely be working in a change-of-pace capacity in Week 17. After Jerick McKinnon (groin) was placed on injured reserve last week, Edwards-Helaire stepped in as Pacheco's top backup in the Chiefs' 20-14 loss to the Raiders on Christmas Day, playing 29 snaps while carrying four times for six yards and catching three passes for 42 yards.

  • Broncos' Dwayne Washington: Lands on NFI list

The Broncos placed Washington on the reserve/non-football illness list Saturday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.

Washington was unable to practice throughout the week with this illness, making it no surprise that he's been placed on Denver's NFI list. The veteran running back has appeared in 13 games for the Broncos this season, playing 247 of his 248 total snaps on special teams.

  • Isiah Pacheco RB | DET

Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Expected to play Sunday

Pacheco (shoulder) has cleared concussion protocol and is expected to play Sunday versus Cincinnati, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

In addition to suffering a concussion in the Chiefs' Christmas Day loss to Las Vegas, Pacheco also has been dealing with a shoulder injury, and he'll still be carrying a questionable tag for Sunday's game. However, having passed through the league's five-step concussion protocol, the second-year running back is likely to suit up in the Week 17 AFC clash as Kansas City looks to get back on track after losing three of its past four contests. Pacheco's expected ability to play stabilizes a Chiefs backfield that recently lost Jerick McKinnon for the remainder of the regular season due to a groin injury.

  • Chiefs' Keaontay Ingram: Up from practice squad

The Chiefs elevated Ingram from their practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals.

With both Isiah Pacheco (concussion/shoulder) and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) listed as questionable for the contest, Ingram gives the Chiefs added Week 17 depth in a backfield that also includes La'Mical Perine. In eight games with the Cardinals prior to landing with Kansas City, Ingram logged 74 yards on 35 carries to go along with four catches for 26 yards.

  • Nick Bawden RB | HOU

Nick Bawden: Back to practice squad

Bawden reverted to the Jets' practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Bawden played eight snaps on offense and another 19 on special teams in New York's loss to the Browns on Thursday night. He caught his only target for eight yards.

  • Jeremy McNichols: Back with Niners

The 49ers signed McNichols to their practice squad Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

McNichols has been bouncing between San Francisco's practice squad and active roster the last couple weeks. He's seen eight special teams snaps but zero on offense.
