  • Lions' David Montgomery: Totals 82 yards

Montgomery carried the ball 17 times for 85 yards in Saturday's 42-17 win over the Broncos. He added two receptions on three targets for minus-3 yards.

Montgomery saw 19 touches compared to 13 for Jahmyr Gibbs, though Gibbs out-gained him and also found the end zone twice. The latter factor is particularly concerning, as Gibbs' second score of the game came with the Lions up 35-10 and from the 12-yard line. Despite remaining relatively efficient, Montgomery has now failed to score in consecutive games after tallying 10 rushing touchdowns in his first nine contests of the campaign.

  • Jahmyr Gibbs RB | DET

Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs: Big performance in blowout win

Gibbs rushed the ball 11 times for 100 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's 42-17 win over the Broncos. He added two receptions on two targets for eight yards and another score.

Gibbs was out-touched by David Montgomery, but he was the far more efficient back. Seven of his 11 rushing attempts went for more than five yards, with his longest going for 34. He also found the end zone twice, first on a nine-yard reception midway through the second quarter and then on a rush from 12 yards away early in the final quarter. Gibbs has been limited to 13.7 touches per game since Montgomery returned from injury in Week 10, but he's been incredibly efficient with that work, and he now has eight touchdowns across his eight games.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Absence likely over

Jones (knee), who is officially listed as questionable, is expected to play Sunday against the Buccaneers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Jones has missed the team's last two games with an MCL sprain, but he turned in a trio of limited practices leading up to Sunday's game. Though he's trending in the right direction, his status won't become official until Green Bay releases its inactive list approximately 90 minutes prior to the game's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. The team's backfield will be worth monitoring generally, as AJ Dillon (thumb) is in jeopardy of missing the contest. If Dillon is out, Jones may be forced into a significant workload even if he's not playing at 100 percent.

  • Saints' Jamaal Williams: Expected to face Giants

Williams (groin), who is officially listed as questionable, is expected to play Sunday against the Giants, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Williams practiced in a limited fashion throughout the week, which is a positive sign for his status. Nevertheless, his status won't become official until just before the Saints kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET. Even if Williams does suit up, it's worth noting he's failed to top 45 rushing yards in a game this season.

  • Tyler Goodson RB | ATL

Colts' Tyler Goodson: Gets 13 touches Saturday

Goodson totaled 11 carries for 69 yards and two catches (on two targets) for 10 yards during Saturday's 30-13 victory against the Steelers.

Goodson joined the Colts' practice squad after Week 1, and he remained there until Week 12, when the team elevated him. He's proceeded to see action in three straight games via the same transaction due to Jonathan Taylor (thumb) being out the last two contests, and Goodson worked in tandem with Trey Sermon out of Indy's backfield Saturday after Zack Moss (arm) exited early in the second quarter. Taylor may be able to return next Sunday, Dec. 24 in Atlanta, but with the statuses of both him and Moss now up in the air, Goodson could be a regular in the offense in the short term. However, because he's exhausted his three allotted elevations, the Colts will need to sign Goodson to the active roster in order for him to do so.

  • Najee Harris RB | LAC

Steelers' Najee Harris: Costly fumble in loss

Harris rushed the ball 12 times for 33 yards in Saturday's 30-13 loss to the Colts. He also lost a fumble.

Harris paced the Pittsburgh backfield in rushing attempts, but he was surpassed by Jaylen Warren in total touches. Harris' day was defined by a fumble on the Steelers' opening possession of the third quarter, which led directly to a Colts touchdown. He still saw four rushing attempts thereafter -- the same number as Warren -- so it doesn't appear that the turnover will cost him opportunity heading into a Week 16 matchup against the Bengals.

  • Jaylen Warren RB | PIT

Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Paces Steelers in scrimmage yards

Warren rushed the ball 10 times for 40 yards in Saturday's 30-13 loss to the Colts. He added five receptions on six targets for 28 yards.

Warren led the Pittsburgh backfield with 15 touches and led the team in scrimmage yards. While that says more about the state of the Steelers' offense than Warren's production, he did manage a pair of gains of more than 10 yards. He's had both inconsistent usage and production much of the season, though he now has at least five targets in consecutive games and should remain the lead pass catcher out of the backfield while splitting carries with Najee Harris moving forward.

  • Trey Sermon RB | PIT

Colts' Trey Sermon: Thrust into large role in Week 15

Sermon racked up 88 yards on 17 carries during Saturday's 30-13 win versus the Steelers.

Prior to Week 15, Sermon had just 11 rushes through his first 11 appearances of the campaign, but after Zack Moss (arm) exited early in the second quarter, the former earned the second-highest carry count in a game in his three-year career. Even subtracting his game-high 19-yard scamper, Sermon still averaged 4.3 yards on his 16 other rushes. Also out of the Colts backfield Saturday, the elevated Tyler Goodson totaled 13 touches for 79 yards from scrimmage. The top of Indianapolis' RB depth chart includes question marks for both Jonathan Taylor (thumb) and Moss, but there seems to be a chance for the former to return next weekend. If neither are available, though, Sermon and Goodson likely would be the team's primary runners Sunday, Dec. 24 in Atlanta.

  • 49ers' Jeremy McNichols: Elevated from practice squad

The 49ers elevated McNichols from their practice squad Saturday ahead of Sunday's Week 15 game against Arizona.

McNichols was elevated to the active roster for the first time this season last week. He didn't log any offensive snaps but did play on six special-teams snaps against Seattle. McNichols should provide depth at running back Sunday due to Elijah Mitchell (knee) being ruled out, but the former is unlikely to see much (if any) action on offense.

  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

Packers' Kenyan Drake: Elevated from practice squad again

The Packers elevated Drake from their practice squad Saturday ahead of Sunday's contest versus Tampa Bay.

This is the second straight week that Drake has been elevated ahead of game day. Last week, he wasn't given the opportunity to log an offensive snap despite Aaron Jones (knee) being unable to play. Jones is questionable again for Sunday, as is AJ Dillon (thumb) -- if both running backs are held out against the Buccaneers, Drake could be in line for a fair amount of work, but he could again be stuck mostly on the sidelines if Jones and/or Dillon suit up.
