  • Dawson Knox TE | BUF

Bills' Dawson Knox: Back at practice

Knox (foot/hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.

Knox was unable to practice last week before being ruled out ahead of the Bills' Week 5 win over the Steelers. With his return to the field Wednesday, the tight end appears to be trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against Kansas City. The Bills will release their first Week 6 injury report later Wednesday, which will reveal the extent of Knox's practice participation.

  • Kyle Pitts TE | ATL

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Returning to practice

Head coach Arthur Smith said that Pitts (hamstring) will resume practicing Wednesday, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.

Pitts sat out the Week 5 loss to Tampa Bay after being sidelined for three straight practices with a hamstring issue, so his ability to handle even limited reps Wednesday would be a step in right direction. Smith said the Falcons will monitor Pitts in practice throughout the week before making a decision about his availability for Sunday's contest against the 49ers.

  • Jordan Akins TE | JAC

Texans' Jordan Akins: Joining active roster

The Texan will sign Akins off the practice squad Wednesday and add him to their 53-man roster, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Akins, who has been active for three games this season, has recorded seven catches on eight targets for 86 yards and a touchdown in that span. With Brevin Jordan's (ankle) availability still up in the air for when the Texans return to action Week 7, Akins will give the team added tight end depth to go along with O.J. Howard.

  • Miller Forristall: Returns via practice squad

The Browns signed Forristall to the practice squad Wednesday.

Forristall had spent time on Cleveland's practice squad earlier this season and even been called up twice, but he was waived after his only game appearance, Week 4 versus Atlanta. Now, he returns to the practice squad and gets a chance to continue his development.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Held catchless in season debut

Parham failed to secure his only target in Sunday's 30-28 win over the Browns.

Parham made his debut Sunday after dealing with a hamstring injury to start the season, but the 25-year-old tight end was unable to produce in a very limited role. The veteran played just 18 of the Chargers' 71 offensive snaps, and his one target was the fewest of any pass catcher thrown to by Justin Herbert in the contest. Parham operated as the No. 3 tight end, playing behind both Gerald Everett and Tre' McKitty. The 6-foot-8, 237-pounder should remain far off the fantasy radar when the Chargers host the Broncos in Week 6.

  • Tommy Tremble TE | CAR

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Only one target

Tremble did not catch his only target in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the 49ers.

Tremble put up a goose egg despite playing nearly 60 percent of Carolina's offensive snaps. In Week 6 versus the Rams, he's expected to play with P.J. Walker at quarterback, as usual starter Baker Mayfield suffered an ankle injury Sunday.

  • Ian Thomas TE | LV

Panthers' Ian Thomas: Makes two catches

Thomas caught both of his targets for eight yards in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the 49ers.

Thomas has now failed to top 15 receiving yards in any of his last four games, emphasizing his restricted value as more of a blocking tight end.

  • Nick Eubanks TE | IND

Nick Eubanks: Cut from practice squad

Eubanks was let go from the Texans' practice squad Tuesday.

Eubanks signed with Houston's practice squad just last week, but he was not able to last long. The undrafted tight end spent some time with Cincinnati, Detroit and Philly's practice squads in 2021, but he is yet to make his NFL debut.

  • Seth Green TE | NO

    Seth Green: Finds new home

Green was signed to the Cowboys' practice squad Tuesday, Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official site reports.

Green's addition to the practice squad comes after Dalton Schultz aggravated a sprained PCL injury in Sunday's win over the Rams. In a corresponding move, the team cut long snapper Tucker Addington from the practice squad.

  • Greg Dulcich TE | MIA

Broncos' Greg Dulcich: Returns to practice Tuesday

The Broncos designated Dulcich (hamstring) for return from injured reserve Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.

An offseason hamstring issue followed Dulcich into training camp, the preseason and eventually the regular season, forcing him to IR for Weeks 1-5. Now that he's back on the practice field, he can be activated anytime in the next 21 days, which may happen ahead of Monday's matchup with the Chargers. Whenever the rookie third-round pick returns, Dulcich will join a TE group that so far has been paced by Eric Saubert in terms of offensive snap share (47 percent), followed by Eric Tomlinson (42 percent), Albert Okwuegbunam (36 percent) and Andrew Beck (27 percent).
