  • Jordan Akins TE | JAC

    Texans' Jordan Akins: Catches touchdown

Akins recorded three receptions on four targets for 31 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Bears.

Akins was active for the first time this season, and he took advantage by hauling in a four-yard touchdown reception late in the first quarter. He also chipped in a 25-yard catch to begin the second half. It's unclear whether the Texans will promote Akins to the active roster again in Week 4, but he made the case for a larger role with his strong performance.

  • Zach Ertz TE | WAS

Cardinals' Zach Ertz: Does little with big volume

Ertz caught six of 10 targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Rams.

Three different Cardinals saw double-digit targets as Kyler Murray set new career highs in attempts and completions, but Ertz was by far the least productive of the trio. His day would have looked a lot better had he been able to haul in a five-yard TD pass from Murray just before halftime, but the ball glanced off his hands. Ertz's 25 targets through three games is second among all tight ends behind Mark Andrews, which should at least give him a solid fantasy floor heading into a Week 4 clash with the Panthers.

  • Tyler Higbee TE | LAR

Rams' Tyler Higbee: Productive again Sunday

Higbee caught all four of his targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Cardinals.

The Rams' passing game was quiet in the victory, but the tight end tied Cooper Kupp and Ben Skowronek for the lead in receptions. Higbee's off to an impressive start to the season with 16 catches on 24 targets for 171 yards through three games, but he could find it tough sledding in Week 4 against the 49ers' talented linebacking corps.

  • Kyle Pitts TE | ATL

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Garners eight targets in win

Pitts caught five of eight targets for 87 yards during Sunday's 27-23 victory over the Seahawks.

After a quiet start to the season, Pitts was targeted early and often during Sunday's win, finishing with team highs in targets, receptions and receiving yards. Four of Pitts' five catches went for at least 10 yards, including a 28-yard gain in the first quarter. Marcus Mariota also probably missed the tight end on a few deep balls, hindering his potential production, but Pitts still submitted a solid performance. However, his lack of involvement in the red zone continues to be a concerning trend from his rookie year, and he's failed to score through three games. Pitts was never going to be held in check for the entire season, but if he can't find the end zone more in 2022, the second-year phenom will have a difficult time reaching his full potential.

  • Jelani Woods TE | NYJ

Colts' Jelani Woods: Two touchdowns in win

Woods brought in two of three targets for 13 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts' 20-17 win over the Chiefs on Sunday.

The rookie was the surprise target on both of Matt Ryan's touchdown tosses, recording one- and 12-yard grabs in the first and fourth quarters, respectively. Woods had yet to see a target prior to Sunday, so despite the surprising fantasy performance Sunday, it's difficult to project what his role might be in a Week 4 home divisional clash against the Titans.

  • C.J. Uzomah TE | PHI

Jets' C.J. Uzomah: One catch in return

Uzomah (hamstring) caught his only target for five yards in Sunday's 27-12 loss to the Bengals.

Uzomah returned from a one-game absence but was the clear No. 2 option at tight end behind Tyler Conklin, who caught all eight of his targets for a team-high 84 yards. As long Conklin's healthy, Uzomah's role figures to remain minimal.

  • Dawson Knox TE | BUF

Bills' Dawson Knox: Four catches in Week 3 loss

Knox (foot) secured all four targets for 25 yards in the Bills' 21-19 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

Knox worked through a foot issue this past week and then overcame heat-related cramping to put together a decent showing from a PPR standpoint. The third-year tight end now has back-to-back four-catch tallies, an encouraging development going into a Week 4 road showdown against the Ravens.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Raiders' Darren Waller: Only five targets

Waller recorded three receptions on five targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Titans.

Waller finished tied for fourth in targets, and backup tight end Foster Moreau matched him. It was expected that passing volume would condense around Waller and Davante Adams with Hunter Renfrow (concussion) out. Instead, Mack Hollins led the team in targets, receptions and yards. It was a poor performance for Waller, but he still has 13 receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown through three games this season.

  • Mark Andrews TE | BAL

Ravens' Mark Andrews: Records pair of TDs in win

Andrews brought in eight of 11 targets for 89 yards and two touchdowns in the Ravens' 37-26 win over the Patriots on Sunday.

Andrews led the Ravens in receptions, receiving yards and targets across the board, hauling in five- and 16-yard touchdown passes along the way. The star tight end has 17 receptions and a trio of scores in the last two games alone, and he should once again play an integral role in a Week 4 home showdown against the Bills.

  • Tyler Conklin TE | DET

Jets' Tyler Conklin: Eight catches in Week 3 loss

Conklin caught all eight of his targets for 84 yards in Sunday's 27-12 loss to Cincinnati.

C.J. Uzomah returned from a hamstring injury, but Conklin remained the clear top pass-catcher among New York's tight ends, as Uzomah was targeted only once. Conklin led all Jets in catches and receiving yards, and he has been targeted 24 times through three weeks by veteran Joe Flacco. He'll hope to get similar volume from Zach Wilson (knee) when the starting quarterback returns, which could be as soon as Week 4 against the Steelers.
