  • Tre' McKitty TE | HOU

    Chargers' Tre' McKitty: Compiles catches

McKitty compiled three receptions (on four targets) for 24 yards in Sunday's 24-19 victory over the Raiders.

Both McKitty and typical starter Gerald Everett played 40-plus snaps as the Chargers transitioned to a multi-TE system after Keenan Allen left with a hamstring injury. McKitty is known more as a blocker than receiver, so his playing time should be relatively secure given the team's tendency to use multiple blockers even in passing situations, but it's unclear if the second-year tight end can really accumulate enough targets to be a fantasy dependable option most weeks.

  • Foster Moreau TE | HOU

Raiders' Foster Moreau: Not targeted in opener

Moreau was held without a target in the Raiders' season opener against the Chargers on Sunday.

Moreau saw the field for just 18 of the Raiders' 58 offensive snaps, and he was uninvolved in the passing game behind No. 1 tight end Darren Waller, who caught four passes for 79 yards on six targets. Moreau's role should remain relatively unchanged against the Cardinals in Week 2 with Waller at full strength.

  • Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Scores first career TD

Parkinson caught both of his targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 17-16 win over the Broncos.

Parkinson produced just 49 receiving yards through his first two seasons in the league, but he managed to produce a career high in receiving yards and score his first career touchdown in Week 1. He handled 20 offensive snaps in the opener, so we shouldn't expect this kind of production going forward.

  • Noah Fant TE | NO

Seahawks' Noah Fant: Picks up 16 yards

Fant caught three of four targets for 16 yards in Monday's 17-16 win over the Broncos.

Fant logged 31 offensive snaps, which was second to Will Dissly but ahead of Colby Parkinson among Seattle tight ends. However, both Dissly and Parkinson managed to produce 43 yards and a touchdown. Fant is not yet the clear No. 1 tight end as many had hoped, and with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett leading the pass-catchers, his production could be volatile all year.

  • Will Dissly TE | LAC

Seahawks' Will Dissly: Scores first touchdown of MNF

Dissly caught all three of his targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 17-16 win over the Broncos.

On the first drive of the game, Geno Smith found a wide-open Dissly on third down for a 38-yard score, giving the Seahawks a lead that they never gave up. Dissly ended up tying fellow tight end Colby Parkinson for the team lead in receiving yards, while Noah Fant finished with three catches for 16 yards. It will be hard to trust Dissly in season-long fantasy leagues, but he has touchdown upside in DFS formats when he gets a favorable matchup.

  • Broncos' Albert Okwuegbunam: Six targets on MNF

Okwuegbunam caught five of six targets for 33 yards in Monday's 17-16 loss to Seattle.

Okwuegbunam led all Broncos tight ends in catches and targets, though tight end/fullback Andrew Beck topped him in receiving yards with 52. Running back Javonte Williams caught 11 passes while Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton each topped 70 receiving yards, so Okwuegbunam could be the fourth option at best in Denver's passing game heading into a Week 2 visit from the Texans.

  • Isaiah Likely TE | NYG

Ravens' Isaiah Likely: Held without a catch in debut

Likely was held without a catch on four targets Sunday against the Jets.

After shining in the preseason, Likely had a rough introduction to NFL regular-season play Sunday. The fact that he drew four targets -- which tied for third on the team -- is a positive sign for him going forward, but being held without a catch means there's room for improvement for the rookie. Likely was on the field for 24 of 51 snaps on offense, and that share could tick up once he starts converting on his opportunities. Baltimore hosts Miami in Week 2.

  • Adam Trautman TE | DEN

Saints' Adam Trautman: Limited role in Week 1

Trautman played 25 offensive snaps and four special-teams snaps during Sunday's 27-26 win over the Falcons.

Trautman did not see a target while lining up as New Orleans' No. 2 tight end behind Juwan Johnson (45 offensive snaps, 16 special-teams snaps) in Week 1. The 2020 third-round pick also was called for an illegal shift penalty that ultimately was declined on a failed two-point conversion attempt in the fourth quarter. Trautman's usage alongside Johnson could determine his overall value as a receiver in the team's unproven TE corps moving forward this season.

  • Noah Togiai TE | PHI

Noah Togiai: Shifts back to practice squad

Togiai reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Togiai failed to haul in his lone target over 11 offensive snaps played during Philadelphia's Week 1 win against Detroit on Sunday. The third-year tight end played on 14 percent of the Eagles' offensive snaps and six special-teams snaps after being elevated from the team's practice squad Saturday. Togiai will now work to earn another practice squad elevation in search of the first reception of his NFL career.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: May practice Wednesday

Coach Kyle Shanahan indicated that Kittle (groin) could practice Wednesday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

That said, Shanahan acknowledged that it's not a lock the tight end will practice Wednesday, but it's worth noting that it was thought that Kittle had a shot to suit up for Week 1 action, which is why he traveled with the team for Sunday's road game against the Bears. As for this coming weekend's game against the Seahawks, Kittle's status is TBD, but a return to the field Wednesday, in any capacity, would have him trending in the right direction ahead of the contest.
