Steelers' Pat Freiermuth: Finds end zone twice in win over Indy
Freiermuth caught five of seven targets for 44 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-22 win over the Colts. He added one yard on his lone carry.
The veteran tight end connected with Aaron Rodgers on a one-yard score in the second quarter and a 17-yard strike in the fourth. Freiermuth is up to four touchdowns through five games to begin the season, already matching his total over 17 regular-season contests in 2025, and his 19 catches has him on pace to match the career-high 65 passes he hauled in during 2024. Freiermuth will look to keep rolling in a Week 6 road trip to Tampa Bay.

Steelers' Pat Freiermuth: Gets into end zone Thursday
Freiermuth brought in three of five targets for 17 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers' 27-24 loss to the Browns on Thursday.
Freiermuth and fellow tight end Darnell Washington each had three catches and a touchdown on five targets, as the two continued in a pretty even timeshare at the position. Freiermuth's scoring grab was particularly timely, as it came with 1:42 remaining and put the Steelers within two points of knotting the game up at 24-24. Freiermuth has multiple receptions in every game this season and a pair of touchdown catches, and he should remain in a similar role when Pittsburgh returns to action in a Week 5 home matchup against the Colts on Sunday, Oct. 11.

Freiermuth recorded two receptions for 30 yards on four targets and carried once for one yard in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Bengals.
Freiermuth took the field for 37 of the Steelers' 62 offensive snaps, with his 60 percent share placing him slightly behind fellow tight end Darnell Washington (47 snaps, 76 percent). The Steelers should continue to make ample use of two-tight-end sets to keep Freiermuth involved in their game plans, but since he doesn't project to see heavy target volume week to week, he'll remain a largely touchdown-dependent fantasy option.

Freiermuth caught four passes (on five targets) for 32 yards while logging a two-yard carry during the Steelers' 20-3 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Freiermuth and Darnell Washington were both named starters for Sunday's game, with the former leading all Steelers tight ends with 46 of 67 offensive snaps (68.7 percent). Freiermuth looked great in Pittsburgh's season opener, ranking second on the team in receiving yardage and tying for first in catches. He accounted for the Steelers' lone offensive touchdown when he connected with Aaron Rodgers for a six-yard score in the second quarter. The five receptions were as many as Freiermuth had in any contest all of last season. Meanwhile, Darnell Washington had a quieter game statistically with two catches (on two targets) for 18 yards. Through five campaigns as a pro, Freiermuth has played at least 16 regular-season games on four occasions, and his tally of 486 receiving yards from 2025 marked his lowest among them. He was on the receiving end of passes from QB Aaron Rodgers for the first time, and with Rodgers returning for his age-43 season, Freiermuth likely isn't in store for much more production, even if the addition of WR Michael Pittman frees up more space for the tight end to operate.
