Blake Bell TE | KC
49ers' Blake Bell: Only catches one pass
Bell only had one reception (three targets) for five yards in Sunday's overtime win over the Bears.
Bell was unable to follow up last week's career-best game (three catches, 67 yards). It was even more disappointing considering starter Vance McDonald left the game with a concussion. McDonald's status for next week's tilt is uncertain, but Bell would become a sneaky play in deeper leagues and DFS if the former can't suit up.

Zach Ertz TE | WAS
Eagles' Zach Ertz: Hauls in TD in win over Patriots
Ertz caught two passes for nine yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 35-28 win over the Patriots.
Ertz finally caught his first touchdown of the season, while being relatively limited otherwise by New England's impressive linebacking corps. When quarterback Sam Bradford is playing, Ertz has been his clear-cut No. 1 tight end option, over fellow tight end Brent Celek, and will likely continue to be going forward. But because of the Eagles' offense-by-committee approach, his upside is normally contingent on touchdown catches.

Jesse James TE | LV
Steelers' Jesse James: Catches three passes
James caught three passes for 30 yards on five targets in Sunday's 45-10 win over the Colts.
Filling in for an injured Heath Miller (ribs), James was actually the only Steeler to get off to a fast start, but he essentially disappeared once Antonio Brown, DeAngelo Williams and Martavis Bryant got going. With Miller returning to practice as a limited participant Friday, James' stint in the starting lineup may end at one game. Even if he does get another shot, James would likely just be the fifth option in the passing game, behind Brown, Bryant, Williams and Markus Wheaton.

Blake Bell TE | KC
49ers' Blake Bell: Active Sunday
Bell (finger) is listed as active Sunday at Chicago.
The 49ers will be without Garrett Celek as a result of a high ankle sprain, which will thrust Vance McDonald and Bell into more prominent roles in the passing attack. Coming off a three-catch, 67-yard performance last Sunday against the Cardinals, Bell will look to keep it up against a Bears defense that has yielded 26 receptions to tight ends over the last four games.

Marcedes Lewis TE | DEN
Jaguars' Marcedes Lewis: Listed as active
Lewis (ankle) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Titans.
As long as Julius Thomas remains in the Jags' lineup, however, Lewis' status remains of more import to the team's depth at tight end than it is to fantasy owners.

Jesse James TE | LV
Steelers' Jesse James: Could see added work Sunday
James could be in line to see an expanded role Sunday night against the Colts if Heath Miller can't play, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Miller looks pretty iffy for the contest, but with the Steelers kicking off at 8:30 ET this week, any Pittsburgh tight end will be a speculative Week 13 play. For those inclined to wait, however, James -- who has four catches for 23 yards in three games thus far -- is an interesting fantasy dart, given his red zone-friendly 6-foot-7 frame and reported improved conditioning level of late.

Zach Ertz TE | WAS
Eagles' Zach Ertz: Probable for Week 13
Ertz (concussion) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Ertz sat out last week's game after suffering a concussion the week before, but he is set to return to action Sunday in Foxborough. He will face a tough Week 13 matchup against a Patriots team that allowed just one touchdown to opposing tight ends over its last eight games.
