  • Larry Donnell TE | BAL

Giants' Larry Donnell: Dealing with neck soreness

Donnell (neck) avoided a major injury and is merely dealing with soreness, the New York Daily News' Ralph Vacchiano reports.

Donnell was carted off the field during Sunday's loss to the Saints, giving the initial impression that his neck injury was serious. The Giants now believe it was just a muscle spasm, so Donnell may be available for Week 9 against the Buccaneers. If not, Will Tye will likely get the start at tight end.

  • Dwayne Allen TE | NE

Colts' Dwayne Allen: Just one reception

Allen had just one reception for four yards and was targeted three times in Monday's loss at Carolina.

Allen has become a non-factor in the Indy passing game as he has just eight targets in his past five games.

  • MyCole Pruitt TE | PIT

Vikings' Mycole Pruitt: Has two receptions

Pruitt had two receptions for 13 yards on three targets in Sunday's win over Chicago.

Pruitt had his first catch in Minnesota's last game and is starting to get involved in the offense. He's not getting enough touches for viable fantasy value, but his role could grow later in the season.

  • Troy Niklas TE | TB

Cardinals' Troy Niklas: Tallies two touchdowns Sunday

Niklas tallied two touchdown receptions during Sunday's victory in Cleveland.

Niklas was the beneficiary of two red-zone looks, scoring from 11 yards and one yard, but Carson Palmer otherwise looked elsewhere among his 38 throws. Such is the life of a reserve tight end, though Niklas has picked up increased run during Darren Fells' (shoulder) two-game absence. Niklas' usage during that span has lagged behind current starter Jermaine Gresham -- 43 percent of the offensive snaps, versus 82 percent for the veteran -- a breakdown that likely won't last if Fells is able to return after the Cardinals' Week 9 bye.

  • Larry Donnell TE | BAL

Giants' Larry Donnell: Left with neck spasms

Donnell, who left in the first half Sunday and did not return, is believed to have had a muscle spasm in the shoulder/neck area, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.

We'll have more word on his status when we get it. Should Donnell miss any time, Will Tye would see more snaps.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Seahawks' Jimmy Graham: Grabs seven passes for 75 yards

Graham caught 7-of-10 targets for 75 yards in Sunday's 13-12 win at Dallas.

Graham could have had a bigger game, but he and Russell Wilson's timing were a little off on a couple of deep shots. The star TE continues to be either completely uninvolved or a beast, with little in between. The lack of consistency might be frustrating to fantasy owners, but his upside cannot be ignored. He and the Seahawks will be on bye next week, before facing the Cardinals at home in Week 10.

  • Travis Kelce TE | KC

Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Leads Chiefs receivers again

Kelce (groin) had six catches on eight targets for 49 yards -- all team-highs -- and a touchdown Sunday against the Lions in London.

The Chiefs don't throw the ball a ton, but when they do, it's usually to either Kelce or wideout Jeremy Maclin. Kelce's touchdown was his first since Week 1, so while he gets a decent number of passes thrown his way for a tight end, his upside isn't quite as high due to the few looks near the end zone (seven red zone targets this season, two inside the 10-yard line). Fantasy owners will have to look for a Kelce replacement in Week 9, as the Chiefs are on bye before a tough Week 10 matchup against the Broncos.

  • Larry Donnell TE | BAL

Giants' Larry Donnell: Suffers neck injury Sunday

Donnell is questionable to return to Sunday's game at New Orleans due to a neck injury.

Before he was carted off the field, Donnell corralled his only target for 22 yards. In his absence, the Giants have just one tight end (Will Tye) on the active roster.

  • Lions' Tim Wright: Inactive Sunday

Wright is inactive Sunday against the Chiefs.

With Brandon Pettigrew back in action this week to work with fellow tight end Eric Ebron, Wright is the odd man out at the position for the Lions on Sunday.

  • Lions' Brandon Pettigrew: Listed as active for Sunday's game

Pettigrew (elbow) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs in London.

The return of Pettigrew, who has recorded three catches for 29 yards in two games to date, bolsters the Lions' TE depth, but as long as Eric Ebron is healthy, Pettigrew is not a high-percentage fantasy play.
