  • DeAndre Carter WR | CLE

Chargers' DeAndre Carter: Five catches in Week 9 win

Carter (illness) caught five of six targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Falcons.

Carter finished with exactly half the receiving yardage total of Joshua Palmer but still ranked second on the team as the Chargers played without Keenan Allen (hamstring) and Mike Williams (ankle). He also retained his usual role as the return man on special teams, totaling 29 yards on three punt returns and 18 yards on one kickoff return. Carter's expanded role in Los Angeles' Justin Herbert-led passing game is intriguing, but even if the team's top two wide receivers remain sidelined in Week 10, getting open won't be easy against the stingy San Francisco secondary.

  • Samori Toure WR | PHI

Packers' Samori Toure: Gains 34 yards in loss

Toure pulled in two of four targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 15-9 loss to the Lions.

Starting wideout Romeo Doubs (ankle) was carted off the field in the first half, so Toure saw his role elevated for the second week in a row. The seventh-round rookie was unable to reproduce last week's trip to the end zone, but he has now seen four targets in consecutive games. If Dobbs -- who was seen on crutches after the game -- is forced to miss next week's tilt against the Cowboys, Toure could generate enough targets for those in deeper formats or as a flier in DFS tournaments.

  • Josh Palmer WR | BUF

Chargers' Joshua Palmer: Tops century mark as team's WR1

Palmer caught eight of 10 targets for 106 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Falcons.

Operating as the No. 1 wide receiver with Keenan Allen (hamstring) and Mike Williams (ankle) sidelined, Palmer led the Chargers in targets and catches while finishing with exactly double the receiving yardage total of DeAndre Carter, whose 53 yards ranked second on the team. Palmer's most important catch was his last one, as his 22-yard reception in the final minute set up Cameron Dicker's game-winning 37-yard field goal. Los Angeles is unlikely to get both Allen and Williams back in Week 10 against the 49ers and could remain without both, so Palmer should continue to play a prominent role against a far tougher San Francisco secondary.

  • Allen Lazard WR | NYJ

Packers' Allen Lazard: Heavy usage in return

Lazard (shoulder) finished with four receptions (10 targets) for 87 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 15-9 loss to the Lions.

Lazard returned from a one-game absence with a vengeance, reclaiming his No. 1 wideout role and posting numbers in accordance with that title. The 26-year-old has produced a healthy 30/427/5 line through seven games this season. Fellow starter Romeo Doubs (ankle) was carted off the field Sunday, so Lazard should continue to see heavy targets as one of the few remaining receivers Aaron Rodgers can trust heading into a matchup against the Cowboys next Sunday.

  • Vikings' Justin Jefferson: Eclipses century mark in win

Jefferson brought in seven of 13 targets for 115 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for 10 yards in the Vikings' 20-17 win over the Commanders on Sunday.

Jefferson was in the familiar position of setting the pace in receiving yards and targets for the Vikings on the afternoon, and he checked in just two catches shy of tying newcomer T.J. Hockenson for the team lead in receptions. Jefferson also recorded his third touchdown grab of the season in the first quarter on a contested catch to cap off an opening drive during which he recorded four receptions for 48 yards overall, and his team-high 47-yard grab early in the fourth quarter led to a key Greg Joseph field goal. Jefferson heads into a tough Week 10 road matchup against the Bills with four 100-yard efforts in his last five games.

  • Romeo Doubs WR | NE

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Using crutches, boot after Week 9

Doubs (ankle) was using crutches and had a walking boot on his right foot after Sunday's loss at Detroit, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Doubs lasted just one play (an 18-yard catch) before making his way to the sideline visibly hobbled. Packers trainers examined his right ankle in the sideline tent before he was carted to the locker room, and he eventually was ruled out after halftime. Fellow rookie wide receiver Christian Watson also left the game to be evaluated for a concussion for the second week in a row, so Green Bay's already banged-up group of pass catchers is even more so after Week 9. The statuses of both Doubs and Watson may receive some clarity in the coming days, but with Randall Cobb (ankle) on IR for at least one more contest, Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins, Amari Rodgers and Samori Toure currently are the healthy options at the position on the active roster.

  • Davante Adams WR | LAR

Raiders' Davante Adams: Peppered with 17 targets

Adams recorded 10 receptions on 17 targets for 146 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Jaguars.

Adams got to off a fast start by tallying each of the Raiders' first two touchdowns from 25 and 38 yards, respectively. He appeared to be in for an even bigger performance but managed only one reception for zero yards in the second half as Las Vegas' offense completely stalled in the final two quarters. Despite the slow end to the performance, Adams was targeted on 17 of Derek Carr's 36 pass attempts and no other receiver on the team commanded more than five targets. Adams has now topped 100 receiving yards in four of eight contests on the campaign.

  • Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Another touchdown in Week 9 win

Waddle secured five of seven targets for 85 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 35-32 win over the Bears on Sunday.

Waddle checked in second across the board to the other half of the Dolphins' elite wideout duo, Tyreek Hill. However, it was another successful fantasy performance for the second-year wideout, who now has six touchdown grabs on the season, half of them coming in the last two games. Waddle also has at least Sunday's yardage total in four straight games and no fewer than seven targets in three of those contests, giving him plenty of momentum heading into a favorable matchup against the Browns at home in Week 10.

  • Tyreek Hill WR | MIA

Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Eye-popping numbers yet again

Hill secured seven of eight targets for 143 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 35-32 win over the Bears on Sunday.

Hill put together what is fast becoming a normal game for him during his young but prolific Dolphins tenure, with his catch, yardage and target tallies all serving as team highs on the afternoon. Hill also recorded his third trip to the end zone this season on a three-yard touchdown grab early in the second quarter, and he's now eclipsed the 140-yard mark on a jaw-dropping five occasions over his first nine games. Hill next gets a crack at a vulnerable Browns secondary on his home field in a Week 10 matchup.

  • Van Jefferson WR | WAS

Rams' Van Jefferson: Active in Week 9

Jefferson (knee) is active for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

In the wake of his season debut last Sunday against the 49ers, Jefferson was limited in practice Wednesday through Friday due to a preexisting knee issue. Now that the Rams have confirmed his availability for Week 9, he's a candidate to eat into Ben Skowronek's role as the team's third wide receiver behind Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Allen Robinson, though Jefferson still is in search of his first target of the campaign.
