  • Tyler Boyd WR | TEN

Bengals' Tyler Boyd: Finds end zone in Week 1

Boyd caught four passes for 33 yards and one touchdown on seven targets against Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Boyd nearly had a second touchdown in the fourth quarter but was headhunted on the play and couldn't hold on through the hit, which drew a flag. It would have been nice to see Boyd step up more with Tee Higgins (concussion) leaving the game early, but it could have gone worse. Boyd will need to contribute more if Higgins can't give it a go in Week 2, when the Bengals will try to take out their frustrations in Dallas.

  • Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Races for 42-yard TD in win

Waddle caught four of five targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-7 win over the Patriots. He added eight yards on one rushing attempt.

Waddle found a seam between three Patriots defenders and turned on the jets to score a 42-yard touchdown in the final seconds of the first half. Besides that splashy play, Waddle played second fiddle to Tyreek Hill, who led the team in targets (12) and scrimmage yards (100). The two explosive wide receivers showed they can coexist in this one, and Miami should continue to feature both in Week 2 against the Ravens.

  • A.J. Brown WR | NE

Eagles' A.J. Brown: Spectacular in Eagles debut

Brown brought in 10 of 13 targets for 155 yards in the Eagles' 38-35 win over the Lions on Sunday.

The star wideout wasted no time making an impact in his first taste of regular-season action as a member of the Eagles, kickstarting his afternoon with four receptions for 62 yards on Philadelphia's second possession and going on to record game-high catch, receiving yardage and target totals. Brown had a game-long 54-yard grab for good measure, although the voluminous target share he enjoyed Sunday isn't necessarily projected to be the norm, considering fellow wideout DeVonta Smith was held without a catch on four targets and promising slot man Quez Watkins didn't log a single look. However, Brown will undoubtedly play another big role in a Week 2 home showdown against the Vikings on Monday night, Sept. 19.

  • Robbie Chosen WR | WAS

Panthers' Robbie Anderson: Catches long TD

Anderson caught five of eight targets for 102 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-24 loss to the Browns.

Anderson got wide open for a 75-yard touchdown during the fourth quarter, fueling his team-leading receiving day. That play tied for Anderson's longest gain as a Panther, and Sunday marked his first game with 100-plus yards since Week 5 of the 2020 campaign. As Carolina's most-targeted player as well, Anderson is off to a nice start with new quarterback Baker Mayfield.

  • Ja'Marr Chase WR | CIN

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Big game in Week 1 loss

Chase caught 10 passes for 129 yards and one touchdown on 16 targets against Pittsburgh on Sunday.

It was a difficult and painful game for Joe Burrow, who played less than great in turbulent conditions, but Chase's star talent still wasn't contained, even in an otherwise strong showing by the Pittsburgh defense. Granted, Chase's target volume was inflated slightly due to Tee Higgins suffering a concussion early in the game, but it's still encouraging to see the former post such strong fantasy production in a game as ugly as this one. It's also worth noting Chase nearly had a superhuman second touchdown catch on the right side of the end zone but just narrowly landed part of his foot out of bounds. Hopefully Higgins is recovered and cleared in advance of Cincinnati's Week 2 matchup with Dallas, but Chase projects for a productive game either way.

  • Saints' Michael Thomas: Two touchdowns in Week 1 win

Thomas secured five of eight targets for 57 yards and two touchdowns in the Saints' 27-26 win over the Falcons on Sunday.

Seeing his first game action since a January 2021 wild-card loss to the Buccaneers, Thomas came alive with a pair of second-half touchdowns of three and nine yards to help fuel a wild comeback win for New Orleans. Thomas' target and yardage tallies were both second on the day for the Saints, and the former Pro Bowler didn't seem to show any ill effects from the hamstring injury that had limited him leading up to the opener. Thomas should have a strong chance of upping his production as he develops more chemistry with Jameis Winston, with the next opportunity coming in a Week 2 divisional home showdown against the Buccaneers next Sunday.

  • DJ Moore WR | BUF

Panthers' DJ Moore: Just three catches

Moore caught three of six targets for 43 yards in Sunday's 26-24 loss to the Browns. He also rushed once for seven yards.

Moore trailed teammates Robbie Anderson and Christian McCaffrey in receptions, with the former also garnering more targets than Moore. Although he managed a long gain of 26 yards, it was a modest performance overall from Carolina's No. 1 wideout. He'll strive to continue building chemistry with new quarterback Baker Mayfield ahead of Week 2's matchup versus the Giants.

  • Tyreek Hill WR | MIA

Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Big game in Miami debut

Hill caught eight of 12 targets for 94 yards and rushed once for six yards in Sunday's 20-7 win over the Patriots.

Hill racked up 100 scrimmage yards on the dot in his Dolphins debut. The offseason acquisition was Tua Tagovailoa's featured target, as Jaylen Waddle finished a distant second with five targets. Hill has the skills to remain in the WR1 conversation week in and week out, including in Week 2 against the Ravens.

  • Darius Slayton WR | IND

Giants' Darius Slayton: Healthy scratch in Week 1

Slayton (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 1 clash against the Titans, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.

Slayton's inactive status isn't of much surprise considering he just took a pay cut earlier in the week in order to remain on the roster and the fact all of Sterling Shepard, Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney and rookie Wan'Dale Robinson are healthy in front of him. If the team's receiver corps can avoid the drastic case of the injury bug that befell it last season, Slayton may be in street clothes most weeks for the foreseeable future.

  • Samori Toure WR | PHI

Packers' Samori Toure: Healthy scratch Sunday

Toure (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday in Minnesota, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.

Green Bay will be without Allen Lazard (ankle) for at least Week 1, but the team is going with options not named Toure in the season opener. The rookie seventh-round pick's next chance to see game action is next Sunday against the Bears.
