  • Darnell Mooney WR | NYG

Bears' Darnell Mooney: Suiting up in season opener

Mooney (back) is listed as active Sunday against the Rams in L.A.

The Bears managed Mooney's practice reps this week, limiting him Wednesday and Thursday. He logged a full session Friday but still entered the weekend as a question mark. With his status for the season opener now known, Mooney will be the team's No. 2 wide receiver behind Allen Robinson, which amounted to 6.1 targets per game as a rookie in 2020.

  • Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE

Broncos' Jerry Jeudy: Has high-ankle sprain

Jeudy has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain following his departure from Sunday's game against the Giants in New York, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

As a result, a multi-game absence likely is in the cards for Jeudy, who had six catches (on seven targets) for 72 yards at the time of the injury. While he's sidelined, the likes of Tim Patrick, KJ Hamler and Diontae Spencer figure to benefit alongside starting wideout Courtland Sutton.

  • Zach Pascal WR | NYG

Colts' Zach Pascal: Logs pair of scores in loss

Pascal secured four of five targets for 43 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts' 28-16 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.

Pascal stepped up as a red-zone threat for new quarterback Carson Wentz with T.Y. Hilton (IR-neck) unavailable, getting into the end zone from 10 and 11 yards out in the second and fourth quarters, respectively. While chunk plays are far from his forte, the veteran wideout brings a sure-handed, reliable presence that it wouldn't be difficult to envision Wentz getting very comfortable with as the season unfolds. Pascal will look to continue his strong form when the Colts tangle with the Rams at home in Week 2.

  • Marvin Jones WR | DET

Jaguars' Marvin Jones: Scores in team debut

Jones secured five of nine targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' 37-21 loss to the Texans on Sunday.

The veteran wideout got his Jaguars career off to a good start, bringing in a four-yard touchdown pass from Trevor Lawrence with five seconds remaining in the contest. While the score was meaningless in the context of the game result, it capped a positive day for Jones, who finished second in receiving yardage and was a co-runner-up in targets on the afternoon as well. Game script did force Trevor Lawrence to attempt 51 passes, however, so it remains to be seen how Jones will measure up to fellow wideouts DJ Chark and Laviska Shenault in looks in coming weeks.

  • Terry McLaurin WR | WAS

Football Team's Terry McLaurin: Second-half surge not enough

McLaurin caught all four of his targets for 62 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Chargers.

34 of McLaurin's 62 yards came on a poor pass from Taylor Heinicke that was inexplicably whiffed on mid-air by a Chargers defender, setting up a pretty sideline catch. Washington made a concerted effort to involve McLaurin in the offense to start the second half, setting up three of his four catches to start the third, but he was curiously absent from the gameplan the rest of the way. Who McLaurin will be catching passes from in future weeks will be something to monitor as starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick left Sunday's contest with a hip injury, forcing Heinicke into relief.

  • DJ Chark WR | ATL

Jaguars' DJ Chark: Records TD grab in loss

Chark brought in three of 12 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' 37-21 loss to the Texans on Sunday.

As his extremely poor catch rate implies, Chark's afternoon would have been a complete fantasy washout had it not been for his sensational 41-yard touchdown grab late in the third quarter. The chemistry between Chark and rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence clearly needs some work, but the respective talent of each player should certainly lead to some big games as the season unfolds. Chark will look to start making good on that potential in a Week 2 home battle versus the Broncos.

  • Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE

Broncos' Jerry Jeudy: Ruled out Sunday

Jeudy (lower leg) won't return to Sunday's road game against the Giants, Patrick Smyth of the Broncos' official site reports.

Jeudy sustained a gruesome injury to his lower leg at the end of a catch in the third quarter and required a cart to get off the field, so it's no surprise he won't reenter the contest. The nature of the issue isn't known, but the Broncos could shed some clarity upon the conclusion of Sunday's game.

  • Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE

Broncos' Jerry Jeudy: Carted off Sunday

Jeudy was carted off the field during Sunday's game against the Giants with an apparent lower leg injury, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

At first glance this looks like an injury that could cost Jeudy some time. If that's the case, added snaps/targets in the coming weeks would be freed up for fellow WRs Tim Patrick and KJ Hamler.

  • Corey Davis WR | NYJ

Jets' Corey Davis: Scores twice in Gang Green debut

Davis caught five of seven targets for 97 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 19-14 loss to the Panthers.

Davis' only catch of the first half was an exciting one, as he turned the corner and broke a tackle for a 35-yard gain. He added even more material for the highlight reel in the second half, scoring touchdowns of 22 and eight yards as the Jets' offense came alive after taking a goose egg into the locker room. The big-money free agent signing is the clear No. 1 receiving option for a Jets team that will likely find itself playing from behind more often than not.

  • Cole Beasley WR | NYG

Bills' Cole Beasley: Busy in Week 1 loss

Beasley secured eight of 13 targets for 60 yards in the Bills' 23-16 loss to the Steelers on Sunday.

Beasley furnished his usual reception-heavy stat line while checking in second behind Stefon Diggs in receptions, receiving yards and targets. The sure-handed veteran filled his usual slot role, and at least for Week 1, his workload was wholly unaffected by the presence of new No. 2 receiver Emmanuel Sanders. Beasley will look to reprise his strong season-opening performance when the Bills travel to South Florida to tangle with the Dolphins in Week 2.
