  • Mason Kinsey WR | TEN

    Mason Kinsey: Waived by Tennessee

Kinsey was waived by the Titans on Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Kinsey's best shot to make the final roster was through special teams. The 5-foot-11 wide receiver could carve out a practice squad role.

  • Malik Taylor WR | DET

Packers' Malik Taylor: Secures roster spot

Taylor secured a spot on the Packers' roster Tuesday.

Despite appearing in 15 games for the Packers last season Taylor was not assured a place on this year's roster, but he beat out a number of fellow pass catchers during training camp and came away with the sixth and final spot at his position. Taylor led the Packers with 185 receiving yards during the preseason, but only one of the five players in front of him saw any preseason action at all, and it's unlikely he will play more than a bit role on offense when the regular season gets underway.

  • Cade Johnson WR | SEA

Cade Johnson: Misses out on roster spot

Johnson was waived by the Seahawks on Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Johnson led all Seahawks wide receivers in receptions (nine) and yards (72). However, the Seahawks' are willing to risk losing the undrafted rookie on waivers despite keeping just four wideouts on their initial 53-man roster. The 23-year-old was excellent in his final two seasons at South Dakota State, recording 2,554 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns.

  • Mike Williams WR | LAC

Chargers' Mike Williams: Returns to practice

Williams (hip) participated in practice Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.

Williams had been held out of practice since mid-August with a hip flexor, but the injury never seemed serious. It's fair to say that as this point, all systems are go for the big-bodied wideout ahead of the team's opener Sept. 12 against Washington.

  • Deonte Harty WR | BAL

Saints' Deonte Harris: Remains without suspension

Harris has not yet received a suspension or other punishment from the NFL following his July 16 arrest for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

While such issues commonly lead to a two-game suspension, Harris presumably won't receive any punishment until after the legal process has played out, which doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon. In the meantime, Harris is slated for a significant role at receiver while Michael Thomas (ankle) misses at least the first six weeks of the season on the PUP list. Boding well for his fantasy stock is the fact that true pocket passer Jameis Winston won the Saints' starting quarterback job over the dual-threat Taysom Hill, though Harris will still have to compete for targets with Tre'Quan Smith (undisclosed), Marquez Callaway, Ty Montgomery and Lil'Jordan Humphrey.

  • Whop Philyor WR | MIN

    Whop Philyor: Waived by Vikings

The Vikings waived Philyor on Tuesday.

Philyor signed with Minnesota after going undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was competing for a role on special teams and to provide depth at wide receiver, but ultimately came up short. The Indiana product could end up landing on the team's practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers. If that does not happen, he will be forced to look for a new opportunity.

  • Kawaan Baker WR | GB

    Kawaan Baker: Exits New Orleans

The Saints waived Baker on Tuesday.

Baker was considered to have an outside shot at landing on New Orleans' 53-man roster but ultimately did not make the cut. Still, the Saints' seventh-round draft pick seems like a prime candidate to land on its practice squad should he ultimately go unclaimed on waivers.

  • Chris Moore WR | BAL

Chris Moore: Let go by Texans

Moore was cut by the Texans on Tuesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Moore joined the Texans during the offseason after spending his first five seasons in Baltimore. While he saw plenty of action during the preseason, he was ultimately unable to make enough of an impression to earn a role on Houston's 53-man roster.

  • River Cracraft WR | WAS

River Cracraft: Shown door in San Fran

Cracraft was waived by the 49ers on Tuesday, Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee reports.

The 49ers are fairly healthy at wide receiver with the exception of Brandon Aiyuk, who is dealing with a minor hamstring injury. Cracraft will likely be signed to the practice squad as a dependable depth player who knows coach Kyle Shanahan's system. Through 19 career NFL games, he has recorded seven receptions for 85 yards.

  • Alex Erickson WR | HOU

    Alex Erickson: Released by Texans

Erickson was released by the Texans on Tuesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Erickson was active for the Texans during the preseason, but was always considered to be on the outside looking in for the 53-man roster. He was competing with Keke Coutee and Anthony Miller for a slot receiver role. The Wisconsin product spent his first five seasons with the Bengals before joining Houston during the offseason.
