  • Trent Taylor WR | SF

49ers' Trent Taylor: Placed on COVID-19 list

Taylor was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.

Taylor either tested positive for the virus himself or came in close contact with somebody that did. If it turns out to be the latter, then the receiver still has a chance of being cleared in time for Saturday's game against Arizona. Taylor has just 10 catches this season but plays a prominent role on special teams as the punt returner.

  • Tyreek Hill WR | MIA

Chiefs' Tyreek Hill: Tending to hamstring injury

Hill didn't practice Wednesday due to a hamstring injury, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

According to Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site, head coach Andy Reid said Hill's hamstring "tightened up" during last weekend's win over the Saints. As a result, Hill will get a recovery day Wednesday as the Chiefs kick off Week 16 prep, but at this point, the team hasn't expressed concern about the wideout missing Sunday's game against the Falcons. Hill heads into the matchup with an NFL-best 17 touchdowns on the season.

  • Michael Gallup WR | WAS

Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Set for limited practice

Gallup (hip) will be a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

The report notes that head coach Mike McCarthy believes that Gallup will be able to play Sunday against the Eagles. The wideout's ability to practice Wednesday -- albeit in a limited fashion -- is a positive indicator toward that end.

  • Cardinals' DeAndre Hopkins: Not practicing Wednesday

Hopkins wasn't present for the media-access portion of Wednesday's practice, Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Wednesday's injury report will reveal whether Hopkins' absence is classified by the Cardinals as "not-injury related," or if he's managing an injury in advance of Saturday's game against the 49ers. In the Cardinals' Week 15 win over the Eagles, Hopkins caught nine of his 11 targets for 169 yards and a touchdown.

  • Deebo Samuel WR | SF

49ers' Deebo Samuel: Won't play final two weeks

Head coach Kyle Shanahan reaffirmed Tuesday that Samuel (hamstring) won't play in either of the 49ers' final two games of the season, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Just over a week ago, Shanahan said Samuel would be shut down for the regular season, but the coach left the door open for the wideout to return to action during a potential postseason run. However, after the 49ers were officially eliminated from playoff contention following Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, Samuel will now have to wait until 2021 to see his next competitive action. The second-year player only suited up in seven games for the 49ers this season, but he was productive during his time on the field with 33 receptions for 391 yards and a touchdown to go with 26 more yards on the ground.

  • Jalen Reagor WR | MIA

Eagles' Jalen Reagor: Deemed 'fine' for Week 16

Head coach Doug Pederson said that Reagor (ankle) will practice Wednesday and is "fine" as the Eagles begin Week 16 prep, Daniel Gallen of The Harrisburg Patriot-News reports.

The Eagles will release their first Week 16 injury report later Wednesday, which will confirm the extent of Reagor's participation in practice. Even if Reagor ends up being listed as a limited participant, the ankle injury he picked up in last week's loss to the Cardinals doesn't look as though it will affect his availability for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. Through Jalen Hurts' first two starts at quarterback, Reagor has caught seven of 12 targets for 95 yards while chipping in nine yards on the ground.

  • Stefon Diggs WR | WAS

Bills' Stefon Diggs: Set to practice

Head coach Sean McDermott said Diggs (foot) will take part in Wednesday's practice, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.

The extent of Diggs' participation won't be known until Thursday, when the Bills release their first official Week 16 injury report. The fact that Diggs is back on the field in some fashion is an encouraging sign for his chances of playing Monday in New England, after he was removed late in last week's win over the Broncos due to the foot issue. Before exiting, Diggs provided his fantasy managers with a big game, finishing the day with a season-high 11 receptions for 147 yards on 13 targets.

  • Gary Jennings WR | LAC

Gary Jennings: Released from practice squad

Jennings was released from the Ravens' practice squad Tuesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Jennings signed to Baltimore's practice squad last week as the team was dealing with several COVID issues within the wide receivers corps. However, now that all the receivers have been cleared, the Ravens decided to part ways with the 2019 fourth-round pick.

  • Devin Duvernay WR | ARI

Ravens' Devin Duvernay: Minimally involved Sunday

Durvernay wasn't targeted during Sunday's 40-14 win over the Jaguars.

The 23-year-old played only four offensive snaps as his role continues to diminish in Baltimore's offense. Duvernay played 75-plus percent of the offensive snaps Weeks 12 and 13, but he's barely been on the field the past two weeks.

  • Saints' Marquez Callaway: Designated to return from IR

Callaway (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Callaway will return to practice this week, opening a 21-day evaluation window for his activation from IR. The undrafted rookie out of Tennessee is eligible to play in Friday's game against the Vikings. With Michael Thomas (ankle) out for the rest of the regular season, Callaway could secure a starting job, especially with Tre'Quan Smith (ankle) not 100 percent.
