  • Tim Jones WR | JAC

Tim Jones: Back on Minnesota's practice squad

Jones reverted to the Vikings' practice squad Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Jones was elevated for Week 1 against Chicago and saw most of his work on special teams, logging 14 snaps with that unit versus three on offense. He didn't see any targets during his brief time lining up as a wideout. Jones could continue to get elevated for gameday while Jordan Addison serves out the remainder of his three-game suspension.

  • Ravens' Devontez Walker: Limited to special teams

Walker failed to play a single offensive snap in Sunday's 41-40 loss to the Bills.

Walker played 21 snaps on special teams Sunday and was not a part of Baltimore's offensive plans against the Bills. The second-year wideout remains buried on the wide receiver depth chart behind Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, DeAndre Hopkins and Tylan Wallace. Barring injuries, Walker remains far off the fantasy radar ahead of a Week 2 matchup against the Browns.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Nabs one-year contract extension

Watson (knee) agreed to a one-year, $13.25 million contract extension with the Packers on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Watson has opened the campaign on the reserve/PUP list while he continues to recover from a torn ACL in his right knee, which he suffered in Week 18 of last season. The wide receiver entered 2025 on the final year of his rookie deal, but he now will remain in Green Bay at least one additional season. Watson compiled a career-high 620 receiving yards with two touchdowns on 29 catches over 15 games in 2024 before going down with the knee injury. The 26-year-old will remain out for the first four games of the season, but he could return to action as soon as Week 6 versus the Bengals on Oct. 12.

  • Bears' Luther Burden: Light usage in NFL debut

Burden caught his lone target for minus-3 yards and returned one kickoff for 44 yards in Monday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.

The No. 39 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Burden had an underwhelming debut. He took the field for just 18 of the Bears' 67 snaps on offense, ranking fourth among Chicago receivers behind Rome Odunze (63 snaps), DJ Moore (56) and Olamide Zaccheaus (30). Burden could eventually supplant Zaccheaus for a regular spot in three-receiver sets, but quarterback Caleb Williams will first have to prove that he can support multiple pass catchers on a weekly basis before Burden emerges as a viable fantasy option.

  • Hal Presley WR | TEN

Hal Presley: Returning to Kansas City

The Chiefs signed Presley to the practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

The undrafted rookie out of Baylor is back with Kansas City after being cut from the team's practice squad in late August. Presley is a candidate to be elevated to the Chiefs' active roster for Week 2 against the Eagles if Xavier Worthy (shoulder) and Jalen Royals (knee) are unable to play.

  • Jalen Nailor WR | MIN

Vikings' Jalen Nailor: Just one catch in Monday's start

Nailor had one reception for 28 yards on three targets in Monday's win at Chicago.

While Nailor had just one catch, there were some positives for his fantasy value. He played despite a hand injury that sidelined him late in August and had his status for the start of the season in question. Nailor also started at wide receiver opposite Justin Jefferson over Adam Thielen and had more opportunities (Thielen had one target) and snaps on offense (49 of 56, compared to 32 for Thielen). It was thought Thielen might step right into the No. 2 WR role after his trade from Carolina, but Nailor didn't cede the spot so easily. Both wideouts will see their roles reduced when Jordan Addison returns from his suspension in Week 4.

  • Adam Thielen WR | PIT

Vikings' Adam Thielen: Just one target in return to Vikes

Thielen was not able to bring in his only target in Monday's win over Chicago. He did catch a two-point conversion.

Jalen Nailor got the start at wide receiver opposite Justin Jefferson and had more opportunities (one reception on three targets). Nailor also played 49 of 56 snaps on offense, compared to 32 for Thielen. It was thought the veteran may step right into the No. 2 WR role after his trade from Carolina, given Nailor's hand injury during training camp. However, it looks like Thielen will need to re-integrate himself into the offense first after spending the last two seasons with the Panthers, following a nine-year tenure with the Vikings that ended in 2022.

  • Noah Brown WR | WAS

Commanders' Noah Brown: Limited on practice estimate

The Commanders listed Brown (knee) as a limited participant on Tuesday's practice estimate.

Washington is facing a quick turnaround after Sunday's 21-6 win over the Giants, so the team is unlikely to do much on-field work ahead of a Thursday night matchup against the Packers. Brown has been estimated as a limited participant on the Commanders' first two reports of the week, but he still stands a good chance of playing. In the Commanders' season-opening win, Brown started and played 33 of the team's 70 snaps on offense en route to a 2-27-0 receiving line on three targets.

  • Packers' Dontayvion Wicks: Limited again Tuesday

Wicks (calf) was a limited participant during Tuesday's walk-through practice.

Though Green Bay listed Wicks as a limited participant on its second straight practice report, head coach Matt LaFleur hasn't indicated that the third-year receiver is in any real danger of sitting out Thursday's game against the Commanders. Wicks saw modest involvement as part of a deep rotation of pass catchers in Sunday's season-opening 27-13 win over the Lions, playing 21 snaps on offense on his way to a 2-30-0 line on two targets.

  • Jayden Reed WR | GB

Packers' Jayden Reed: Reps capped in walk-through

Reed (foot) was a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice.

After being gauged as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Reed increased his activity enough to garner a limited listing. His practice reps will likely be restricted over the next few weeks while he works his way back from a Jones fracture sustained early in training camp, but he should continue to suit up on game days. Green Bay is facing a quick turnaround for Week 2 with a Thursday night matchup against the Commanders, so the team could look to manage Reed's snap count after he took the field for just 18 plays on offense in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Lions. The third-year wideout made an impact during his time on the field, producing a 3-45-1 receiving line on five targets while also gaining 21 yards on two punt returns.
