Kendrick Bourne WR | SF
Patriots' Kendrick Bourne: Out for preseason finale
Coach Mike Vrabel said Monday that Bourne (leg) will not practice this week and has been ruled out for Thursday's preseason finale against the Giants, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Bourne was rolled up in practice back on Aug. 1 and has been sidelined ever since, essentially missing most of training camp and the entire preseason. With the Patriots' additions to the wide receiver room over the offseason, Bourne's roster spot isn't guaranteed. Missing the summer certainly won't help his chances.

Efton Chism III WR | NE
Patriots' Efton Chism: Not practicing Monday
Chism (undisclosed) won't practice Monday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Per Kyed, Chism didn't get back into Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings after recording an impressive 12-yard TD en route to logging a 6-71-1 line on six targets over the course of his 25 snaps on offense. The UDFA's strong play this summer has seemingly put him in a good position to secure a spot on the Patriots' initial 53-man roster, provided his injury issue isn't something that lingers. Chism is in line to be evaluated before Tuesday's practice and Thursday's exhibition finale against the Giants.

Phil Lutz WR | NE
Patriots' Phil Lutz: Signs with New England
The Patriots signed Lutz on Monday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
New England is dealing with new injuries to Kyle Williams (undisclosed) and Efton Chism (undisclosed), so the team needs a healthy body ahead of this week's preseason finale. Lutz recorded a 45-863-11 receiving line at Delaware last season but wasn't selected in the 2025 Draft.

DJ Chark WR | ATL
DJ Chark: Released by Atlanta
The Falcons released Chark on Monday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Chark signed with the Falcons at the start of training camp, but he's shown very little across 30 offensive snaps this preseason, securing just one of three targets for 11 yards. Chark turns 29 years old next month, and his career appears to be running on fumes after producing a 4-31-1 receiving line across seven regular-season games for the Chargers in 2024 before spending much of the offseason as a free agent.

Kaden Prather WR | BUF
Bills' Kaden Prather: Over hamstring issue
Prather (hamstring) played in Sunday's preseason game against the Bears.
Prather missed a chunk of time early in camp and the Bills' first exhibition. He played 10 offensive snaps versus Chicago but failed to secure his lone target. At this point, Prather is an extreme long shot to make Buffalo's 53-man roster.

Stefon Diggs WR | NE
Patriots' Stefon Diggs: Ahead of schedule in recovery
Patriots EVP of player personnel Eliot Wolf said Monday that Diggs (knee) is "ahead of schedule" in his recovery from a torn ACL, Chad Graff of The Athletic reports.
Diggs has been a consistent participant in practice throughout training camp, but the Patriots haven't allowed him to suit up for either of the team's first two preseason games. However, everything out of New England this summer has been positive regarding Diggs' recovery from the knee injury he sustained in Week 8 last season. He avoided the active/PUP list to begin camp, and there's been no indication thus far that Diggs won't be available for Week 1 against the Raiders in a little less than three weeks.

Kyle Williams WR | NE
Patriots' Kyle Williams: Not practicing Monday
Coach Mike Vrabel said he doesn't anticipate Williams (undisclosed) will practice Monday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Williams took a hard hit to the head toward the end of the second quarter in Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings and was unable to return. He's played 45 offensive snaps this preseason, securing all three of his targets for 24 yards. The third-round rookie may not be a full-time wideout early on in 2025, as he's competing for snaps with Kayshon Boutte and Mack Hollins behind Stefon Diggs (knee) and slot man DeMario Douglas.

A.J. Brown WR | PHI
Eagles' A.J. Brown: Sitting out Monday's practice
Brown (hamstring) is not practicing Monday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Brown got in a handful of limited practices last week, but he's now been listed as a DNP since last Wednesday. The Eagles seem to simply be taking a cautious approach to the star wide receiver's recovery, and he doesn't seem to be in consideration for the team's preseason finale against the Jets on Friday. At this stage, though, Philadelphia hasn't indicated any signs of concern about Brown's availability for Week 1 against the Cowboys on Thursday, Sept. 4.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling WR | PIT
Seahawks' Marquez Valdes-Scantling: No catches during preseason so far
Valdes-Scantling wasn't targeted in Friday's 33-16 preseason win over the Chiefs.
Although rookie fifth-round pick Tory Horton (ankle) has been running ahead of Valdes-Scantling during practices, it was the veteran who took the field with starting quarterback Sam Darnold to begin Friday's exhibition contest. Valdes-Scantling's main selling point is his blazing speed, but Horton ran a 4.41 40-yard dash and will continue to push for the No. 3 job. There's probably utility for both players in this offense. On a weekly basis, Valdes-Scantling's fantasy production will be almost impossible to depend on.

Tyler Scott WR | LAR
Bears' Tyler Scott: Strong preseason outing
Scott caught three passes for 54 yards and a touchdown in the Bears' 38-0 preseason win over the Bills on Sunday.
Scott worked with the reserves, leading the team in receiving yards. However, after just 20 snaps in 2024 and added receiver competition, he's likely battling for a roster spot instead of a rotation role.
