Luther Burden III WR | CHI
Bears' Luther Burden: Participating in team drills
Burden (hamstring) is taking part in team drills at Tuesday's practice, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Burden missed OTAs, minicamp, and the first four days of training camp due to a hamstring injury sustained during rookie minicamp back in May, but head coach Ben Johnson said the 39th overall pick in the 2025 Draft is ready to be eased into team drills "slowly but surely," per Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com. Johnson said the wideout is "a little behind right now," but it at least appears that Burden's health is no longer impeding his development. He still has plenty of time to display his playmaking abilities in training camp and the preseason, and to potentially push Olamide Zaccheaus for the No. 3 receiver role behind DJ Moore and Rome Odunze.

Ja'seem Reed WR | CAR
Panthers' Ja'Seem Reed: Signs with Carolina
Reed signed a contract with the Panthers on Tuesday, Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Reed was waived by Cleveland after landing on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury back in June. The undrafted rookie caught 155 passes for 2,103 yards and 16 touchdowns during his time at San Diego. Presumably healthy, the rookie wide receiver will compete for a spot on the 53-man roster throughout training camp and preseason.

Dan Chisena WR | CAR
Dan Chisena: Let go by Panthers
Chisena (calf) was removed from the active/PUP list by the Panthers on Tuesday, Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer reports.
After one season in Carolina, Chisena has been cut with an injury settlement to create roster space for the signing of Ja'Seem Reed. The 28-year-old Chisena appeared in six games last year, recording three receptions for 37 yards. He will now look to join a new team for the sixth time since entering the league in 2020.

Diontae Johnson WR | CLE
Browns' Diontae Johnson: Shines during practice Monday
Johnson made an "impressive diving catch" during practice in training camp Monday, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Per Easterling, Monday was Johnson's best day of training camp so far, as he also made a "nice catch" on an out route, gathering in a throw from rookie QB Dillon Gabriel. Johnson had a tumultuous campaign last year, particularly after being traded from Carolina to Baltimore in late October, and he ended up with the worst numbers of his career across stints with three different clubs. The veteran wideout is looking to get back on track and has an opportunity to nail down the No. 3 receiver role behind Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman.

Tyrell Shavers WR | BUF
Bills' Tyrell Shavers: Avoids serious injury
Shavers is expected to miss only a few days after injuring his ankle Sunday, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
Though the wide receiver had to be carted off the field, his injury did not appear to be serious even shortly after it happened, per Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com. Shavers spent the 2024 campaign on the Bills' practice squad and earned a reserve/future contract in January. He was elevated for three games last year, seeing 32 offensive snaps and 10 special-teams snaps.

Parris Campbell WR | DAL
Cowboys' Parris Campbell: Dealing with MCL sprain
Campbell suffered an MCL sprain in his knee during Dallas' practice Saturday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The wide receiver left the session early and had to be helped off the field, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. A day later, though, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Campbell didn't suffer a serious injury and would only miss a few days. The 2019 second-round pick of the Colts is trying to secure a spot with a new team after spending 2024 with the Eagles and 2023 with the Giants.

Bryce Ford-Wheaton WR | NYG
Giants' Bryce Ford-Wheaton: Placed on injured reserve
The Giants placed Ford-Wheaton (Achilles) on injured reserve Monday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.
Ford-Wheaton will miss the entire 2025 season after tearing his Achilles during Sunday's practice, and he'll focus on being fully healthy for the 2026 campaign. He played in 14 regular-season games in 2024 and mostly served on special teams, so his absence gives players like Zach Pascal and Ihmir Smith-Marsette a better shot at making the Giants' 53-man roster at the end of training camp.

Quintez Cephus WR | HOU
Quintez Cephus: Let go by Niners
The 49ers waived Cephus on Monday.
Cephus signed with the 49ers on Thursday to give the team wide receiver depth in the wake of Jacob Cowing's hamstring injury. However, the Niners needed to make space on the training camp roster after signing corner Eli Apple, which led to Cephus being cut. Cephus will likely clear waivers, at which time he'll look to join a team in need of a depth receiver.

Louis Rees-Zammit WR | JAC
Jaguars' Louis Rees-Zammit: Nursing back injury
Rees-Zammit has been sidelined for multiple training camp practices due to a lower-back injury, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports.
It's not clear when Rees-Zammit sustained the injury. It comes at a bad time for the former Welsh rugby player as he looks to earn a spot on the Jaguars' 53-man roster. Rees-Zammit will aim to be at full health for Jacksonville's preseason opener against Pittsburgh on Aug. 9.

Danny Gray WR | PHI
Eagles' Danny Gray: Misses Monday's practice
Gray did not practice Monday due to a finger injury, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Gray likely picked up the injury after colliding with Andrew Mukuba during team drills Saturday. The injury comes at an inopportune time for Gray, who is battling for a depth spot on the Eagles' 53-man roster after spending the entire 2024 campaign on the practice squad. The 2022 third-round pick will focus on getting healthy ahead of the Eagles' preseason opener against the Bengals on Aug. 7.
