Armstrong (hamstring) is questionable to return to Monday night's contest against the Bears.

Armstrong suffered an apparent hamstring injury, which has now placed some doubt on his ability to return to action. The defensive lineman recorded one solo tackle before his departure, and in his absence, Jalyn Holmes stands to operate in a more significant role on the defensive line versus Chicago.

Wentz (shoulder) was able to practice Monday, Andrew Krammer of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Wentz contended with soreness in his non-throwing shoulder during the Vikings' Oct. 6 win over the Browns in London, but he was able to finish out the contest. He appears to have made some progress in his recovery over the Vikings' Week 7 bye, though it won't be clear until Wednesday whether he's participating in practice as a full participant. J.J. McCarthy (ankle) also returned to practice Monday for the first time since Sept. 14, so even if his shoulder proves to be a non-issue, Wentz may move to the bench for Sunday's game against the Eagles after starting in each of the previous three games. The Vikings will likely gauge the health of McCarthy and Wentz throughout the week of practice before announcing a starter for Sunday.

Sewell (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of Monday night's contest against Washington, Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Sewell suffered a blow to the head in the first half, which ultimately resulted in him being diagnosed with a concussion. In his absence, D'Marco Jackson will continue to operate in a more significant role at outside linebacker versus the Commanders.

Sample recorded one reception for minus-2 yards on two targets in Sunday's 27-18 loss to the Packers.

Sample was on the field for 20 of the Bengals' 61 offensive snaps in the loss and could be in line for more playing time Thursday against the Steelers, as Cincinnati is likely to be without fellow tight ends Mike Gesicki (pectoral) and Tanner Hudson (concussion) for the game. The Bengals have used Sample primarily as a blocker this season, so any uptick in playing time he might receive in Week 7 is unlikely to translate into bankable fantasy production.

Williams reverted to the Jets' practice squad Sunday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Williams was brought up to the active roster for this past Sunday's loss to Denver and played all 12 of his snaps on special teams. He worked as New York's primary return man in the contest, logging 59 kickoff-return and 32 punt-return yards. Williams served in a similar role earlier in the campaign when he was on the 53-man roster before being cut Oct. 4. He's played just one offensive snap over four contests so far this season.

Tinsley played 10 offensive snaps without getting targeted in Sunday's loss to the Packers.

Meanwhile, erstwhile competition Andrei Iosivas played 58 snaps, though he was limited to five yards on one catch. With Mike Gesicki (pectoral) injured, perhaps more targets will be forthcoming to the Bengals' tertiary wideouts.

Iosivas recorded just one reception for five yards on four targets in Sunday's 27-18 loss to the Packers. three incompletions all coming on catchable balls.

Iosivas' output was disappointing, considering that the other three targets he didn't reel in appeared to be catchable balls. So far, the Bengals have resisted turning to Mitchell Tinsley or Jermaine Burton to replace Iosivas as their No. 3 wideout behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Iosivas hasn't played fewer than 35 snaps in any of the Bengals' six games to date, whereas Tinsley was limited to 10 offensive snaps against the Packers, and Burton has been a healthy inactive for every contest.

Smith reverted to the Jets' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Smith was elevated to the active roster ahead of the team's 13-11 loss to the Broncos on Sunday, failing to record any stats while playing 12 snaps with the special-teams unit. With fellow wide receiver Garrett Wilson (knee) expected to miss a couple weeks, it's possible that Smith could be elevated again for New York's matchup with the Panthers in Week 7.

McCarthy (ankle) participated in practice Monday first time since suffering a right high-ankle sprain Sept. 14, Andrew Krammer of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

While head coach Kevin O'Connell has not named a starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Eagles, he previously said McCarthy would need a full week of practice in order to gain clearance to play. Meanwhile Carson Wentz was also able to practice Monday, despite nursing a sore non-throwing shoulder. If McCarthy is able to practice without major limitations all week, he could return to the starting job.

Jennings was moved to New England's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Jennings was elevated to the Patriots' active roster for this past Sunday's game against New Orleans and logged seven snaps, all of which came on special teams. With Antonio Gibson (knee) on IR, Jennings could get elevated again in Week 7, though the Patriots elected to give just two running backs (TreVeyon Henderson and Rhamondre Stevenson) carries against the Saints.
