The Dolphins traded Ewers to the Jaguars on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The trade will send Ewers to Jacksonville in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2028 NFL Draft, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Ewers appeared to be ahead of both Cam Miller and Mark Gronowski for the Dolphins' backup quarterback job behind starter Malik Willis. Instead, Ewers will head to Jacksonville, and it's unclear whether he'll be the team's QB2 behind Trevor Lawrence or whether the 2025 seventh-rounder will drop behind Nick Mullens on the depth chart.

The Texans cut Rypien on Saturday, Matt Zenitz of CBSSports reports.

Rypien had just signed with the team two weeks ago following Graham Mertz's season-ending knee injury but wasn't able to earn a spot on the roster. With C.J. Stroud and Davis Mills as the only healthy quarterbacks on the roster, Rypien could be a candidate to join Houston's practice squad and serve as the team's emergency third-string quarterback.

The Ravens waived Smith on Saturday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Smith signed with the Ravens in early May as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland. The local wide receiver played in the final two preseason games for the Ravens, receiving three targets but catching none of them. Smith will now be subject to waivers through Monday, and if he clears will become a free agent able to sign with any organization's 53-man roster or practice squad.

The Ravens released Moore on Saturday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Moore signed with Baltimore in late July but was unable to stand out enough during the preseason to earn a roster spot. The 33-year-old will now look to catch on with another team.

The Patriots waived Hasty on Saturday, Ethan Hurwitz of SI.com reports.

Hasty signed with the Patriots on Aug. 12. Unsurprisingly, the running back's return to the team ends similarly to his 2025 stint. Hasty will once again be subject to late August waivers, this time remaining on the wire through Monday due to Sunday's cutdown day. If the 29-year-old remains unclaimed, there is a good chance the special-teamer will return to the Patriots as a member of the practice squad.

The Ravens waived Reed on Saturday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.

Reed is headed to waivers just three weeks after initially signing with Baltimore. Reed most recently played professionally for the UFL's Dallas Renegades and will now look to find a new opportunity elsewhere.

The Broncos waived Manjack on Saturday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.

Manjack signed with the Broncos in early May as an undrafted free agent out of TCU. The 23-year-old played in all three preseason games, catching three of his four targets for 40 yards. The wide receiver will fall short of the 53-man roster and will now be subject to waivers through Monday. If Manjack remains unclaimed throughout Sunday and Monday's extended claim period, he will become a free agent able to sign with any team's 53-man roster or practice squad.

Scott signed a reserve/future contract with Baltimore in January but was unable to impress enough throughout the offseason to earn a roster spot. The 23-year-old spent last season on the team's practice squad and could be a candidate to do so once again should he go unclaimed on waivers.

Owen has entered the league's concussion protocol, Nathan Brown of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Owen sustained a concussion during the opening drive of Saturday's preseason matchup versus Detroit. The 25-year-old will now need to clear the league's concussion protocol before he's eligible to return to the field.

The Bills cut Zylstra on Saturday.

Zylstra signed a one-year deal with the Bills in May. The tight end's first stint away from the Lions, where he spent the first four years of his career, will end without a 53-man roster spot. The 29-year-old played in all three preseason games, catching four of his eight targets for 33 yards. Zylstra will now be subject to waivers through Sunday's cutdown day and into Monday. If the tight end remains unclaimed through Monday, he will become a free agent able to sign with any franchise's 53-man roster or practice squad.
