  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Now questionable due to illness

Smith-Njigba is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Saints due to an illness.

Smith-Njigba wasn't listed on any of the Seahawks' Week 3 injury reports, but after coming down with an illness, his status now will need to be monitored ahead of Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. Through two games this season, he's been one of the few bright spots in Seattle's offense, hauling in 17 of 22 targets for 227 yards and no touchdowns.

  • Jack Campbell LB | DET

Lions' Jack Campbell: Questionable versus Ravens

Campbell (ankle) is listed as questionable for Detroit's matchup versus the Ravens on Monday, Tim Twentyman of the team's official site reports.

Campbell had missed practice earlier in the week but managed to make his return Friday, which should put him in line to play Monday night. If he ends up being unable to play however, Zach Cunningham will likely start at middle linebacker in his place.

  • Bears' Kiran Amegadjie: Placed on IR

The Bears placed Amegadjie (elbow) on injured reserve Saturday.

Amegadjie had been dealing with an elbow injury throughout the past week, though it's unclear when he first picked it up. The 23-year-old will now be forced to miss at least four games before he's eligible to make his return.

  • Dre Greenlaw LB | SF

Broncos' Dre Greenlaw: Placed on IR

The Broncos placed Greenlaw (quadriceps) on injured reserve Saturday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Greenlaw has yet to make his season debut as he continues to battle a quadriceps injury he suffered in the spring. He will now be forced to miss at least another four games. In his absence, Justin Strnad should continue to see increased usage at linebacker.

  • Trevon Diggs CB | SEA

Cowboys' Trevon Diggs: Pops up on injury report

Diggs (knee) was added to Dallas' injury report Saturday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Diggs was limited in Wednesday's walkthrough with an illness, but it's currently unclear how he picked up the knee injury, and he is considered questionable for Sunday's matchup versus the Bears. If he ends up being unable to play, C.J. Goodwin and Trikweze Bridges should be in line for increased playing time.

  • Patriots' Christian Gonzalez: Ruled out again

Gonzalez (hamstring) has been ruled out for New England's matchup versus the Steelers on Sunday.

Gonzalez is now set to miss a third straight game, as he's yet to make his season debut. Alex Austin will serve as one of the team's starting cornerbacks once again, and Gonzalez will look to be good to go for the team's Week 4 matchup versus the Panthers.

  • Trey Sermon RB | ATL

Steelers' Trey Sermon: Called up from practice squad

The Steelers elevated Sermon from the practice squad Saturday ahead of Sunday's matchup versus the Patriots, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Sermon will get his first chance to appear in a game this season after having joined Pittsburgh's practice squad back in August. He will likely serve as the team's No. 4 running back and could see playing time on special teams as well.

  • Cam Akers RB | SEA

Vikings' Cam Akers: Jumps up from practice squad

The Vikings elevated Akers from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals.

Akers presumably will be a part of the Vikings' plans in the backfield without the services of Aaron Jones (hamstring), who will be on injured reserve for at least the next four contests. Jordan Mason is expected to lead the way for Minnesota, but Akers' experience in coach Kevin O'Connell's system suggests he's likely to see at least some touches in his season debut, especially because his only competition for those reps is undrafted rookie Zavier Scott. In 12 games for the Vikings last season, Akers notched 64 carries for 297 yards (4.6 YPC) and one touchdown , plus 10 catches (on 11 targets) for 52 yards and two more TDs.

  • Jaylon Johnson CB | CHI

Bears' Jaylon Johnson: Placed on IR

The Bears placed Johnson (groin) on injured reserve Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

During last week's loss versus Detroit, Johnson aggravated the groin injury that kept him out of the team's season opener, and he will now be forced to miss at least four games. In his absence, Nahshon Wright will likely start at cornerback alongside Tyrique Stevenson.

  • Jaylin Smith CB | HOU

Texans' Jaylin Smith: Lands on IR

The Texans placed Smith (hamstring) on injured reserve Saturday.

Smith will now be forced to miss a minimum of four games after having presumably suffered a hamstring injury during the team's Week 2 loss to Tampa Bay. The rookie third-round pick has racked up four tackles (two solo) across the first two games of the season. Both Tremon Smith and D'Angelo Ross should see an uptick in playing time.
