Lemon (hamstring) won't play in Saturday's preseason game at New England, Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Lemon has been dealing with a hamstring injury since at least Aug. 3, but he was listed as a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday in advance of this preseason Week 2 matchup. With no game action to speak of yet during exhibition season, the rookie first-round pick seems like a candidate to play this coming Friday at Cincinnati if he progresses enough in his recovery.

Ester (undisclosed) reverted to Miami's injured reserve Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Ester is set to stay with the Dolphins after clearing waivers. The 24-year-old will be unable to play this season unless he's waived with an injury settlement.

The Dolphins have waived Reiger (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement, per the NFL's transaction log.

Reiger's time in Miami has come to an after he signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in May. The 24-year-old will now look to get healthy and find a new opportunity with another team.

Grupe missed his only field-goal attempt in Saturday's 34-6 preseason loss to the Falcons.

Grupe missed a 36-yard attempt after watching Spencer Shrader convert 48-yard and 53-yard field goals earlier in the game. Grupe had previously been viewed as the favorite in the Colts' kicker competition, but his miss Saturday may have opened the door for Shrader to close the gap. Next Saturday's preseason finale against the Lions will be a pivotal game for both kickers.

Not many Colts had positive takeaways from Saturday's lopsided loss, but Shrader is an exception. The 27-year-old kicker converted from 48 and 53 yards, while Blake Grupe missed a 36-yard attempt on the latter's only kick Saturday. Indianapolis' kicker competition has yet to be decided ahead of next Saturday's preseason finale against the Lions.

Thomas (groin) won't return to the Rams' preseason matchup against the Saints on Saturday.

Thomas is done for the day after recording two tackles. The 27-year-old missed all of last season with an undisclosed injury before re-signing with the team in March and has been competing for a depth role throughout the summer.

Davis rushed seven times for 21 yards and a touchdown while adding a 10-yard catch on his lone target in Saturday's 31-7 preseason win over the Browns.

Davis got the start at running back due to James Cook resting. Davis, a 2024 fourth-round pick, capped Buffalo's opening drive with a one-yard touchdown run and stayed in for the team's second possession. Cook will continue to lead Buffalo's backfield in the regular season as long as he's healthy, but Davis would be a must-roster fantasy option running behind Buffalo's elite offensive line if Cook gets hurt.

Wilson was let go by Philadelphia on Friday but is set to return to the team after clearing waivers, albeit on injured reserve. The 25-year-old will now be forced to miss the entirety of the upcoming campaign unless he's waived with an injury settlement.

Kirk (calf) continued to work on a side field at Saturday's practice, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.

Kirk has been tending to a calf injury since July 26 and hasn't mixed back into drills in the meantime. There seemingly is a chance he kicks off the season on injured reserve, but he could change the tune by returning to practice or suiting up for Thursday's preseason game in Las Vegas. With all of Mike Evans (quad), rookie second-round pick De'Zhaun Stribling (shoulder) and Ricky Pearsall (knee, IR) banged up at the moment, Deebo Samuel, Demarcus Robinson, Jordan Watkins and Jacob Cowing are the top healthy and available wide receivers for the 49ers.

Martin (hamstring) didn't participate in San Francisco's practice Saturday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Martin is once again dealing with an injury, as he had suffered a stinger during the team's preseason opener versus the Titans last week. The 23-year-old is competing for a depth linebacker role with the 49ers.
