  • Junior Bergen WR | NYJ

    Junior Bergen: Gets cut Wednesday

San Francisco waived Bergen on Wednesday.

Bergen signed a reserve/future contract with the 49ers back in January, but the team is now parting ways with him. He's on track to become a free agent unless he's claimed by another club during the current waiver period.

  • Zamir White RB | NO

49ers' Zamir White: Signs with San Fran

The 49ers signed White on Wednesday.

San Francisco worked out White on Monday, and the team liked what it saw enough to offer him a one-year deal. The club is already dealing with a number of injuries in its backfield, including to veteran starter Christian McCaffrey (undisclosed) and 2025 fifth-rounder Jordan James (ribs).

  • Myles Montgomery: Gets waived with injury

New England waived Montgomery (undisclosed) with an injury designation Wednesday.

In a corresponding transaction, the Patriots signed running back Hassan Haskins. If Montgomery is not claimed by another club during the current waiver period, he'll revert to New England's injured reserve list and be bound to spend the entire 2026 season there.

  • Patriots' Hassan Haskins: Picked up by Pats

New England signed Haskins on Wednesday.

In a corresponding transaction, the Patriots waived running back Myles Montgomery (undisclosed) with an injury designation. Haskins suited up in 12 games with the Chargers in 2025, handling 17 total carries for 47 yards and catching all four of his total targets for 13 yards. He also handled some kick return duties.

  • Jaydon Blue RB | DAL

Cowboys' Jaydon Blue: Listed second behind Williams on unofficial depth chart

Blue is listed as the No. 2 RB behind Javonte Williams on the Cowboys' unofficial depth chart ahead of the team's preseason opener, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Per Watkins, both Blue and Phil Mafah -- who is listed third by the team -- have looked good at training camp thus far, while Malik Davis slots in behind the aforementioned top three. While noting the unofficial nature of the team's current backfield listing, Blue is still a player to monitor on the fantasy radar should he indeed head into the regular season as Williams' top understudy.

  • Ravens' Marlon Humphrey: Dealing with injury

Humphrey (undisclosed) left the Ravens' training camp practice early Wednesday and did not return, Quentin Corpuel of the team's official site reports.

Per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, Humphrey left the field under his own power, and it wasn't clear exactly what happened. Until he's ready to return to practice, fellow veteran Chidobe Awuzie could see some reps in the secondary with the first-team defense.

  • Montrell Washington: Gets waived by Texans

    Houston waived Washington on Wednesday.

The Texans are letting Washington go just a little more than a week after signing him. Unless he's claimed by another team during the current waiver period, he's now on track to become a free agent again.

  • Puka Nacua WR | LAR

Rams' Puka Nacua: May be sidelined 'a few days'

Nacua, who left Tuesday's practice with a groin injury, could be sidelined for "a few days," Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Nacua's issue was initially described as minor groin soreness, and Schefter's report supports the notion that the star wideout's injury isn't a long-term concern. With that in mind, it seems likely that the Rams will play it safe and Nacua won't suit up for Saturday's preseason opener against the Chiefs.

  • Cooper Rush QB | ATL

Falcons' Cooper Rush: In line to play Friday

Coach Kevin Stefanski said Wednesday that Rush will rotate into Friday's preseason game versus the Broncos, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Per Stefanski, Tua Tagovailoa (back) is getting the nod to start in Atlanta's preseason opener, and Rush will be the team's next man up at quarterback. The Falcons have yet to name their starting signal caller for Week 1 of the regular season, as 2024 first-rounder Michael Penix continues to recover from the ACL tear he suffered in Week 11 of the 2025 campaign.

  • Bo Nix QB | DEN

Broncos' Bo Nix: Won't play preseason Week 1

Nix isn't in line to play in Friday's preseason opener against the Falcons, James Palmer of The Athletic reports.

Per Palmer, the Broncos' franchise QB is, however, on track to see action Aug. 21 against the Packers, as well as in the team's Aug. 28 preseason finale, per coach Sean Payton, who noted that the signal-caller has practiced fully since the start of training camp and has taken the same number of snaps as he did during last year's camp, Jeff Legwold of ESPN reports. With Nix slated to sit versus Atlanta, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com relays that Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger are each in line to play a half on Friday.
