Thornton (undisclosed) did not participate at the Raiders' training camp practice Tuesday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.

Thornton left practice early last week Friday after presumably suffering some type of injury, and he still hasn't been able to make his way back onto the practice field. If he can't play in Thursday's preseason contest versus the Cardinals, it could open up more opportunities for rookie sixth-rounder Malik Benson and offseason free-agent acquisition Dareke Young.

Lamb recently told reporters that he and QB Dak Prescott are "hitting on all cylinders" at training camp, Tommy Yarish of DallasCowboys.com reports.

Lamb said his goals for 2026 are to win, stay healthy and dominate. "Whatever the numbers look like, that's cool," he said. Lamb's fantasy production was disappointing last year, but only due to a lack of touchdowns (three) and a prolonged stretch of missed time (three full games, plus nearly all of another). He finished with career highs for yards per catch (14.4) and aDOT (11.8) while posting his second-best mark for yards per route run (2.27). Lamb was efficient pretty much everywhere besides the red zone, where his 17 targets (t-8th among WRs) yielded eight catches for 57 yards and two TDs. He's been healthy throughout the offseason and training camp, with no reports of any missed time or limitations.

Broncos coach Sean Payton suggested Monday that Bryant will have a role in the offense, Zack Kelberman of Mile High Huddle reports.

Payton responded, "We're not," when reporter Kay Adams asked him how he planned to keep Bryant off the field. The steady summer drumbeat for Bryant may be getting louder, but he's still part of a deep WR room where Courtland Sutton and Jaylen Waddle appear locked in as starters. Bryant is at least making a strong case for the No. 3 job, competing with Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims (undisclosed).

Mims (undisclosed) is listed as a starter on Denver's preseason depth chart, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

This should be taken with a grain of salt, as Mims has seniority but doesn't actually seem like the favorite for the No. 3 WR role. Pat Bryant and Troy Franklin are also competing for the job, with Bryant the subject of considerable camp hype this summer. Mims, meanwhile, is dealing with an undisclosed injury that may limit his availability in upcoming preseason games.

Penix (knee) still hasn't been cleared for 11-on-11s and won't be available for Friday's preseason opener against Denver, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.

Limited to 7-on-7s at training camp, Penix may or may not play this preseason, but he at least figures to increase his practice involvement soon. Tua Tagovailoa will start Friday's exhibition and remain a strong favorite for the Week 1 nod, but Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski reiterated Wednesday that he isn't ready to name his Week 1 starter yet.

Tagovailoa will start Friday's preseason opener against Denver, but coach Kevin Stefanski isn't ready to name the Week 1 starter, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Stefanski said Wednesday that the starters will stay in Friday's game for about 10 snaps or one series. For now, Tagovailoa is the starter by default with Michael Penix (knee) not yet cleared for contact or full-team drills. Stefanski is leaving the door open for Penix to earn the starting job, but that seems more likely to happen in-season than ahead of Week 1.

Panthers coach Dave Canales said Wednesday that Brooks will mix in with Chuba Hubbard during Saturday's preseason game against Buffalo, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

Hubbard likely will get the start after both running backs (and numerous other players) were held out of the Hall of Fame Game last week. While Hubbard remains a clear favorite for the Week 1 start, Brooks is on track for a significant role that could include a steady mix of carries and targets. The preseason usage won't necessarily reveal much about the Week 1 plan, but it's still one of the more interesting situations to monitor for fantasy purposes this summer.

After leaving Wednesday's practice with an apparent lower-body injury, Egbuka stuck around on the sideline to watch the rest of the session, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Egbuka limped off the field Wednesday morning and met with trainers on the sideline. He didn't return to practice, but it's a good sign that he remained on the sideline rather than being taken back to the training room. Healthy or not, Egbuka isn't expected to play in Friday's preseason opener against the Jets. Tampa Bay will then resume practicing Sunday or Monday.

Afterwards, Egbuka stuck around on the sideline to watch the rest of practice -- a good sign that the training staff doesn't think his injury is serious.

Shough and most of the Saints' other starters are unlikely to play in Saturday's preseason game against Jacksonville, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Saints coach Kellen Moore said Thursday's joint practice with the Jaguars will be where Shough and other key players get their chance to square off with opponents. Moore did leave the door open for borderline starters to suit up, but it sounds like Shough, Chris Olave, Travis Etienne, etc. will all be held out.
