  • Shawn Bowman TE | ARI

Cardinals' Shawn Bowman: Signs with Arizona

The Cardinals signed Bowman to a contract Sunday, Zach Gershman of the team's official site reports.

Bowman's roster spot opened up after fellow tight end Kenny Yeboah (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve. Bowman is a third-year undrafted free agent out of Rutgers who has yet to participate in an NFL game. Yeboah's season-ending issue, as well as the absence of Tip Reiman (ankle), likely prompted the Cardinals' front offense to address the preseason depth at tight end.

  • Josh Whyle TE | GB

Packers' Josh Whyle: Dealing with minor neck issue

Whyle (neck) did not participate in Sunday's practice, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.

It is unclear when Whyle suffered the neck injury, but the team does not consider the issue a long-term problem. With Tucker Kraft (knee) and Luke Musgrave (neck) still absent due to injury, Whyle's return would once again make him the starting tight end for the time being. As of now, tight end No. 4 Drake Dabney is set to take the starting snaps.

  • Packers' Edgerrin Cooper: Absent with foot issue

Cooper (foot) did not participate in Sunday's practice, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.

Cooper's issue is likely minor, with the linebacker already playing through a small ankle injury as training camp began. The 24-year-old should be back to practice soon, ready to build on his 118-tackle (63 solo) sophomore season.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Returns to practice

The Packers activated Brooks (hamstring) off the active/non-football injury list Sunday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Brooks practiced at camp for the first time on Sunday. The running back has finally recovered from the hamstring issue he sustained in the offseason and is ready to contest MarShawn Lloyd for the No. 2 role behind Josh Jacobs (groin). Brooks will need to show that he is healthy and ready throughout the preseason, as Pierre Strong and rookie seventh-rounder Damien Martinez are looking to climb the depth chart as well.

  • Ravens' Skylar Thompson: Dealing with minor issue

Thompson (undisclosed) is aiming to play in Saturday's preseason contest against the Eagles, Sam Cohn of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Thompson is dealing with a minor, undisclosed injury, but Coach Jesse Minter says they are aiming to have him ready to play Saturday. The No. 4 quarterback will likely see the majority of the snaps against the Eagles, with Huntley likely starting the game before turning it over to Thompson and Joe Fagnano.

  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Colts' Daniel Jones: Unlikely to play Thursday

Jones is unlikely to play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Patriots, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Boyd adds that Jones will only participate in Tuesday's joint session against New England, and the veteran quarterback may not play any preseason games while in the final stages of his recovery from a torn Achilles tendon that he suffered in December. Riley Leonard and Anthony Richardson will be the Colts quarterbacks for Thursday's exhibition contest, the first opportunity for the duo to compete for the backup role behind Jones.

  • Carnell Tate WR | TEN

Titans' Carnell Tate: Strong practice Sunday

Tate was a standout in team drills during Sunday's training camp practice, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.

Tate's explosiveness stood out during red-zone and plus-territory team drills in Sunday's practice. He beat out Alontae Taylor and Cor'Dale Flott for touchdowns in separate reps, with Tate demonstrating a strong connection with second-year quarterback Cam Ward. The No. 4 overall pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, Tate looks to see plenty of offensive snaps in his rookie campaign alongside veteran wideouts Wan'Dale Robinson and Calvin Ridley.

  • Panthers' Tershawn Wharton: No return timeline yet

Wharton (neck) still does not have a clear return timeline, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.

Wharton started training camp on the active/PUP list due to neck surgery he had in mid-May. The defensive tackle has yet to be cleared for contact but has been participating in individual drills while he waits to be medically cleared. Wharton is coming off a career-high 36 tackles (11 solo) over nine regular-season games.

  • Travis Jones DT | BAL

Ravens' Travis Jones: Eying return to practice

Coach Jesse Minter says that Jones (pectoral) "will be worked in real, real soon," Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan Baltimore reports.

Jones was placed on the active/PUP list in late July due to a pectoral injury suffered during the offseason. The fifth-year player out of UConn may be set for another career year, as the return of Nnamdi Madubuike and the addition of Trey Hendrickson alongside him could provide the nose tackle more one-on-one opportunities to penetrate the offensive line.

  • DJ Giddens RB | IND

Colts' DJ Giddens: Nursing hamstring injury

Giddens did not participate in Sunday's training camp practice due to a hamstring injury, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan reports.

It's unclear when Giddens tweaked his hamstring, but it jeopardizes his chances of participating in Tuesday's joint practice with the Patriots on Tuesday, as well as Thursday's preseason opener against New England. The 2025 fifth-rounder entered training camp as the RB2 behind Jonathan Taylor, so an extended absence for Giddens would free up reps for rookie sixth-rounder Seth McGowan and Ulysses Bentley.
