  • Kaelon Black RB | SF

49ers' Kaelon Black: Active as expected Sunday

Black (groin) is active for Sunday's Week 2 matchup against the Dolphins, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

The rookie running back was reported to be trending up for Sunday's contest earlier Sunday, and his availability now has been made official. Black will therefore once again serve as the primary backup to Christian McCaffrey, a role that afforded the former 15 touches (14 carries, one reception) across 28 snaps in a Week 1 win over the Rams in Melbourne, Australia.

  • Saints' Martin Emerson: Won't return in Week 2

Emerson (shoulder) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Ravens, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Emerson went to the locker room in the first half as the Saints evaluated the severity of the cornerback's shoulder injury. The issue is serious enough that the reserve member of the team's secondary will not return to the contest, leaving Jayden Price and Michael Reid as the primary reserves.

  • Commanders' Athan Kaliakmanis: Emergency QB3 for Week 2

Kaliakmanis (coach's decision) is inactive but will serve as the Commanders' emergency third quarterback against the Cowboys on Sunday.

Kaliakmanis once again will be the emergency QB3, meaning he is not permitted to play Sunday unless both Jayden Daniels and Marcus Mariota were to leave the game due to injury, illness or ejection.

  • Luke McCaffrey WR | WAS

Commanders' Luke McCaffrey: Won't play against Dallas

McCaffrey (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

McCaffrey will be a healthy scratch for a second consecutive week, with the Commanders going with six wide receivers on the active game-day roster, led by Terry McLaurin, Stefon Diggs and Antonio Williams. McCaffrey's next chance to play is Week 3 against the Seahawks on Sept. 27, though he doesn't appear to have a clear path to playing time.

  • David Onyemata DT | NYJ

Jets' David Onyemata: Won't return Sunday

Onyemata (groin) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Packers.

Onyemata was doubtful to return to the game after sustaining a groin injury early in the contest. Darrell Jackson should see more rotational snaps in Onyemata's absence.

  • Nick Emmanwori SAF | SEA

Seahawks' Nick Emmanwori: Good to go against Arizona

Emmanwori (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Emmanwori was unable to play against the Patriots in Week 1 due to an ankle injury, but the second-year pro has been given the green light by medical staff to play in Sunday's NFC West tilt. He played a key role in the Seahawks' run to the Super Bowl last year and finished the 2025 regular season with 81 tackles (56 solo), including 2.5 sacks, and 11 pass defenses (including one interception) across 14 games.

  • Packers' Anthony Campbell: Leaves game due to ankle injury

Campbell (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jets.

It's unclear when Campbell sustained the injury, but he's being monitored by medical staff to determine whether he can return to Sunday's contest. Chris McClellan will see a slight bump in snaps at defensive end in a rotational role for as long as Campbell is out of the game.

  • CJ Williams WR | JAC

Jaguars' CJ Williams: Healthy scratch for Week 2

Williams (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.

Williams did not record any offensive stats over his 10 snaps in the Jaguars' Week 1 win over the Browns. The wide receiver and reserve returner will now take a back seat as head coach Liam Coen finds other ways to fill Williams' minimal snaps.

  • Aaron Banks G | GB

Packers' Aaron Banks: Exits game with toe injury

Banks (toe) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jets.

Banks sustained the injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game. Donovan Jennings has taken over at left guard and will remain there unless Banks is cleared to return.

  • Tanner Koziol TE | JAC

Jaguars' Tanner Koziol: Won't play Sunday

Koziol (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.

Koziol is once again a healthy scratch. The tight end is the odd man out in a position room that consists of Brenton Strange, Nate Boerkircher and Quintin Morris.
