Jacob Saylors RB | DET
Lions' Jacob Saylors: No offensive role in loss
Saylors logged one tackle on kick coverage and recorded two kickoff returns for 58 yards during Thursday night's 41-31 loss to the Bills.
Saylors did not play a single offensive snap in the contest, logging all 18 reps on special teams. Jahmyr Gibbs consumed almost all of the rushing work for the Lions, leaving Sione Vaki with just 11 offensive snaps and one carry to Saylors' none. Saylors is likely to remain relegated to special-teams work for the foreseeable future, and the third-year player may lose his roster spot once Isiah Pacheco (back) returns from injured reserve.

Sione Vaki RB | DET
Lions' Sione Vaki: Gets two touches in loss
Vaki recorded one carry for seven yards and caught his only target for 13 yards during Thursday's 41-31 loss at Buffalo.
Vaki was on the field for 11 of the Lions' 65 offensive snaps in Week 2, a similar workload to what he saw in Week 1. Barring an injury to starter Jahmyr Gibbs, Vaki seems unlikely to get the ball more than a couple times in any given game.

Max Melton CB | ARI
Cardinals' Max Melton: Questionable due to ankle injury
Melton (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Melton was a limited participant in all three practice sessions this past week due to an ankle injury, which he likely picked up during the Cardinals' Week 1 win against the Chargers, when he logged one assisted tackle and two pass defenses. Kalen King and Kei'Trel Clark would be in line for larger roles in the secondary at nickel/slot corner if Melton is not cleared to play against Seattle.

Ronnie Harrison Jr. LB | MIA
Dolphins' Ronnie Harrison: Won't play Sunday
Harrison (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
Harrison suffered a hamstring injury in the Dolphins' loss to the Raiders in Week 1 and missed every session of Week 2 prep. With Harrison out Sunday, Jackson Woodard is set to work in a rotational role behind Jordyn Brooks, Willie Gay and Jacob Rodriguez.

Ben Sinnott TE | WAS
Commanders' Ben Sinnott: Bigger role on tap
Sinnott should operate in an elevated role in the Commanders' offense against the Cowboys on Sunday after Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) was ruled out.
Sinnott did not see a target from Jayden Daniels during the Commanders' Week 1 loss to the Eagles, with the former playing 18 snaps on offense. John Bates is expected to be the Commanders' TE1 in Okonkwo's absence, but Sinnott -- who drew praise from the coaching staff for his development during training camp -- also should operate in an elevated role against Dallas.
-
Chop Robinson LB | MIA
Dolphins' Chop Robinson: Out with concussion
Robinson (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
Robinson likely suffered his concussion in Sunday's loss to the Raiders. The third-year defensive end out of Penn State will not clear the NFL's concussion protocol in time for the Week 2 game against the 49ers, which would make a Week 3 matchup against the Chiefs on Sunday, Sept. 27 his next opportunity to retake the field.
-
Ty Okada SAF | SEA
Seahawks' Ty Okada: Won't play Sunday
Okada (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Okada missed a second straight week of practice and will not suit up for Sunday's divisional contest with the Cardinals. The strong safety remains sidelined due to a hamstring injury and doesn't appear particularly close to returning to the field. Rodney Thomas will likely be elevated for the second consecutive game to help make up for Okada's absence.
-
John Bates TE | WAS
Commanders' John Bates: Slated for TE1 duties Week 2
Bates should take on an elevated role against the Cowboys on Sunday after Chig Okonkwo was ruled out due to a hamstring injury.
Bates has primarily been utilized as a run blocker during his NFL career, though he did come up with two catches (on three targets) for 13 yards during the Commanders' 24-22 loss to the Eagles in Week 1. Bates should see an uptick in offensive snaps and targets from Jayden Daniels due to Okonkwo's absence, with Ben Sinnott and Colson Yankoff also in the mix for elevated roles.
-
Jordan Whittington WR | LAR
Rams' Jordan Whittington: Misses practice Friday
Whittington (quadriceps) did not practice Friday.
Whittington logged 25 offensive snaps in the 27-7 loss to the 49ers in Week 1, finishing behind Puka Nacua (43) and Davante Adams (33). However, he ended with just one catch for eight yards. While there doesn't appear to be much upside surrounding Whittington ahead of the Week 2 meeting with the Giants, that could change if Nacua, who also didn't practice Friday due to a hip issue, can't suit up for that contest.
-
Nick Emmanwori SAF | SEA
Seahawks' Nick Emmanwori: Questionable for Sunday's contest
Emmanwori (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Emmanwori logged limited practices throughout Week 2 prep. The versatile slot cornerback is not healthy enough to avoid an injury designation heading into the weekend, but there is a good chance the second-year player could suit up to face the Seahawks' first divisional opponent of the season. If Emmanwori ultimately sits out another game, Nehemiah Pritchett will likely handle the slot cornerback role against Arizona.
