Commesso stopped 35 of 42 shots in a 7-2 preseason loss to Minnesota on Tuesday.
Not exactly an encouraging showing, but the 22-year-old Commesso has no NHL experience, and the Wild had a significant number of their regulars dressed for this contest. The netminder posted a record of 18-16-4 with a 2.65 GAA and a .906 save percentage across 38 regular-season appearances with AHL Rockford in 2023-24. He's expected to open the upcoming campaign in the minors.
