Sweezey was summoned on an emergency basis from AHL Providence on Friday.
Sweezey had one goal and 10 assists in 34 AHL games before his recall. The Bruins could be without Andrew Peeke on Saturday in Chicago, as he suffered a lower-body injury Thursday versus Seattle, possibly leaving the Bruins shorthanded on the blue line.
