Sweezey was put on waivers Sunday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Sweezey registered one goal, three assists and 73 PIM in 57 regular-season outings for AHL Cleveland in 2023-24. He will likely spend most, if not all, of 2024-25 in the minors with Boston's top minor-league affiliate.
