Coyle scored a power-play goal on three shots in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche.
Coyle's first-period tally was his first point of the season. The 32-year-old center has maintained a second-line spot, but he's picked up just six shots on net with 10 hits, seven blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over five appearances. Coyle earned career highs with 25 goals and 60 points in 82 regular-season games last year, but his slow start to 2024-25 will jeopardize his chances of a repeat performance.
