McLaughlin was recalled from AHL Providence on Monday.
McLaughlin has been a healthy scratch for the last two games, and he will probably serve as an extra forward again in Tuesday's matchup versus Vancouver. He has five goals and 10 points in 15 minor-league outings this season.
