Blumel scored twice on four shots in AHL Providence's 3-0 win over Charlotte on Sunday.
Blumel put up five goals and four assists over 12 outings in January and has gotten February off to a good start as well. For the season, he has nine goals, 24 points, 76 shots on net and a plus-10 rating in 27 AHL contests. He also saw action in four NHL games before a lower-body injury cost him a month of action.
