Allen was the first netminder off the ice at morning skate, per Mike Morreale of NHL.com, indicating that he'll defend the home goal versus Washington on Thursday.
Allen has won his last two starts, despite allowing seven goals on 58 shots (.879 save percentage). He is 15-16-1 with a 2.69 GAA and a .905 save percentage over 33 appearances this season. The Capitals are generating 3.15 goals per game, ranking 14th in the league in 2025-26.
