Cotter scored his fifth goal of the season in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Senators.
The former Golden Knight continued his impressive start to the season, scoring New Jersey's final goal of the game in the third period by banging home the rebound on a Dougie Hamilton shot. Cotter has never produced more than 13 goals or 25 points in an NHL campaign, but for now he has a top-six assignment and has turned it into six points in seven games.
