Viel scored a goal and added seven PIM in Friday's 7-4 win over the Oilers in Game 3.
Viel has made himself a key part of the Ducks' fourth line, which has contributed to the defensive side of things in a high-scoring series. He has a goal, three shots on net, nine hits and seven PIM over the first three NHL playoff contests of his career. Viel could be at risk of losing his place in the lineup once Jansen Harkins (hand) and Ross Johnston (lower body) are healthy enough to play, though it's far from a guarantee he'll get bumped out. Viel had 10 points, 62 shots on net, 79 PIM and 121 hits over 45 regular-season outings between the Ducks and the Bruins this year.
