Chatfield (undisclosed) likely won't be able to play in Monday's Game 4 at Florida, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Chatfield has missed Carolina's last four postseason games and is likely to miss a fifth unless something changes before Monday's Game 4. He was a top-four defenseman when healthy, so the Hurricanes have missed Chatfield's presence on the blue line in this series and now find themselves on the brink of elimination. The 29-year-old holds a plus-six rating in nine appearances this postseason.
