Jacobs signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Hurricanes on Wednesday, per CapFriendly.
Jacobs has played just three NHL games, and he didn't get into any last season. The defenseman logged three assists in 19 games with AHL Binghamton in the Devils' organization, and he'll likely link up with AHL Chicago to begin 2021-22.
