Edstrom was called up from AHL Hartford on Tuesday, per Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today.
Edstrom was sent down to the minors Monday in a paper transaction. He is expected to be in the lineup for Opening Night on Wednesday versus Pittsburgh in a bottom-six role. He scored two goals in 11 regular-season contests with the Rangers in 2023-24.
