Lafreniere notched a goal and an assist in Wednesday's 6-0 win over the Penguins.

The 22-year-old scored the Rangers second goal late in the first period before helping to set up Vincent Trocheck for the team's final tally in the third. Lafreniere is coming off a breakout campaign that saw him collect 28 goals and 57 points in 82 games, but with Trocheck and Artemi Panarin as his usual linemates, the first overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft likely hasn't found his ceiling yet.
