Garand has been recalled from AHL Hartford by the Rangers, the team announced Sunday.
Garand being recalled is likely not a good sign for the health of Jonathan Quick, who was collided into by a Mammoth player in the third period of Saturday's loss, though Quick managed to finish that game. With AHL Hartford, Garand has a 3-6-2 record, a 2.96 GAA and an .897 save percentage. If the 23-year-old appears in an NHL game, it would be the first of his career.
