Quick was the first goalie to exit the ice Thursday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports, indicating he'll defend the twine on the road against Detroit.
Quick will make his 2024-25 season debut after Igor Shesterkin featured in the opening three contests of the campaign. Last year, the 38-year-old Quick saw action in 27 regular-season outings for New York, posting an 18-6-2 record to go with a 2.62 GAA and two shutouts. Looking ahead to the rest of the year, Quick figures to make a similar number of appearances, with his ceiling likely the 30-game mark.
