The 23-year-old potted his first two goals inside the first six minutes of the first period, staking the Senators to a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Pinto should be Ottawa's No. 3 center when everyone is healthy, but with Tim Stutzle (upper body) potentially banged up to begin the regular season, Pinto could see top-six shifts out of the gate. Pinto missed half the 2023-24 campaign due to a suspension, but he was productive once he got on the ice, with nine goals and 27 points in 41 games.
