Sekera was placed on long-term injured reserve with a non-COVID-related viral infection Thursday.
Sekera's placement on LTIR was made retroactive to Jan. 28, so he'll essentially be eligible to return whenever he's deemed fit to play, but at this point there's no telling when that might occur. The 35-year-old blueliner has only notched three helpers through 24 contests this year, so fantasy managers shouldn't need to keep tabs on his availability.
