  • David Krejci: Announces retirement
    By RotoWire

Krejci announced his retirement Monday after 16 NHL seasons. Krejci spent his entire career with Boston, recording 231 goals and 786 points in 1,032 games. He also notched 43 goals and 85 assists over 160 playoff contests. Krejci was a member of the Bruins' Stanley Cup-winning roster in 2011. The 37-year-old center produced 16 goals and 56 points across 70 appearances during the 2022-23 campaign.

  • Krejci scored a power-play goal and added two assists, one also on the man advantage, in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Panthers in Game 7 of the Bruins' first-round series. After the Bruins fell behind 2-0 on home ice, Krejci took matters into his own hands and helped produce three straight goals to give his team the lead, only to see it -- and Boston's historic campaign -- slip away late. The 37-year-old will be a free agent in the offseason after scoring 16 goals and 56 points through 70 games during the regular season, and Krejci has yet to indicate whether he intends to return to Boston in 2023-24 or head into retirement.

  • Krejci (upper body) will be a game-time decision versus Florida on Friday, Matt Porter of The Boston Globe reports. Krejci will partake in warmups before the Bruins will decide whether or not he will play Friday. Krejci has last played April 19 in Game 2 and will likely center David Pastrnak and Tyler Bertuzzi should he play. Krejci had 16 goals and 56 points in 70 regular-season games.
