Louis Leblanc agreed to a deal with Lausanne in Switzerland's national A league, the Montreal Gazette reports.A former first-round draft pick of the Canadiens, Leblanc never fulfilled expectations and was out of the NHL orbit this past fall. He hooked on with Slovan Bratislava in the Kontinental Hockey League before joining Lausanne.

Islanders' Louis Leblanc: Clears waivers Saturday
Louis Leblanc cleared unconditional waivers Saturday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.Now that he has cleared waivers, Leblanc will report to AHL Bridgeport. The 24-year-old center registered 28 points (14 goals, 14 assists) in 71 games with AHL Norfolk last season.

Waived by Islanders
Leblanc was waived by the Islanders on Monday, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.Leblanc signed a two-way contract with the Islanders in July, making him an an easier guy to move down than some of his teammates. He will end up beginning the season at AHL Bridgeport if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
