Avs Goalie Prospect Aittokallio To Play In Finland
Aittokallio didn't report to Avalanche training camp Thursday and has decided to play in his native Finland this season, Mike Chambers of the Denver Post reports.The Avalanche will still retain Aittokallio's rights if and when he decides to return to North America, but the 23-year-old goalie doesn't seem to figure into the organization's plans at either the NHL or AHL level. Semyon Varlamov and Reto Berra are on tap to serve as the top two goalies for the Avalanche, while Calvin Pickard and Spencer Martin are first in line to form the goalie tandem at AHL San Antonio this season.

Avs Re-Sign Aittokallio
Aittokallio re-signed with the Avalanche on a one-year, two-way contract, General Fanager reports.
