Chris Pronger: Joins Panthers' coaching staff

Chris Pronger will join Florida as a senior advisor to the president of hockey operations, officially ending his NHL career.Pronger hasn't played since the 2011-12 season, but his huge contract was still on the books for the Coyotes. With that deal over, the blueliner can officially move on to being a team executive. Over the course of his career, the No. 2 overall pick from the 1993 NHL draft tallied 157 goals and 541 assists in 1,167 games and was also noted for the 1,590 PIM he racked up. Pronger won the Stanley Cup with Anaheim in 2007 and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2015.
