Steve Moses: Signs overseas
Steve Moses agreed to terms on a three-year deal with KHL Helsinki on Monday. After joining the Sabres for training camp this past fall, Moses signed an AHL-only contract with the team's affiliate in Rochester, but was unable to secure a two-way deal. The 28-year-old will rejoin Jokerit, for whom he played for three seasons. The winger's hope of ever logging an NHL game has probably fallen by the wayside at this point.

Sabres' Steve Moses: Reporting to camp
Steve Moses will take part in Buffalo's training camp, which begins Thursday. The Massachusetts native spent the last season and a half playing for SKA St. Petersburg in the KHL, scoring 13 goals and 13 assists over 45 games. Moses' ability is undeniable -- he held the KHL single-season goal scoring record from 2014-15 until it was broken in 2016-17 -- but he has yet to play an NHL game after five professional seasons, likely due to his lack of size and strength. It's tough to imagine Moses making the Buffalo Sabres' Opening Night roster, let alone making a fantasy impact.

Steve Moses: Signs with SKA St. Petersburg
Steve Moses signed with SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL on Thursday, The Hockey News reports. After three months in the Preds' organization and failing to earn an NHL call-up, Moses has decided to return to the KHL. While playing for Jokerit Helsinki last season, the UNH product set the league's single-season goal scoring record, potting 36 in 60 games. Moses is a great skater with a quick release, but his diminutive stature may prevent him from ever becoming an NHL regular.

Steve Moses has been placed on unconditional waivers and there is speculation that he will return to Russia's KHL, Elliotte Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada reports.Moses inked a one-year, $1 million deal with the Nashville Predators this past April, but now he's subject to a contract buyout. The 26-year-old winger was unsuccessful in his bid to make the team out of training camp ahead of the 2015-16 campaign. However, he did appear in 16 games with AHL Milwaukee this campaign, adding two scores and eight points along the way.

Headed to AHL
Moses was cut from the training camp roster Wednesday and will join the Predators' AHL affiliate in Milwaukee, The Tennessean reports.Well, this was unexpected. Moses, coming off a record-setting season in the KHL, signed a one-year, one-way contract with the Preds and as such seemed like a lock to make the team. If he excels at the AHL level, though, Moses could be back up in Nashville before long. He's waiver-exempt, so the Predators aren't taking a risk by sending him down.
