Drew MacIntyre was released by the Washington Capitals on Sunday.MacIntyre and fellow training camp goalie Adam Carlson were both released on Sunday, as the Capitals plan to stand pat with their top two guys on the roster in Braden Holtby and Philipp Grubauer. He's expected to report the team's AHL affiliate the Hershey Bears, where he'll open up the season with the opportunity to further sharpen his skills at a lower level.
