Dan Ellis was reassigned to AHL Hershey on Thursday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.Ellis was recalled due to precautionary reasons, but did not dress for Wednesday's Game 4 in Philadelphia. The 35-year-old netminder appeared in 43 games with the Caps' developmental affiliate, earning a 2.38 GAA and .908 save percentage, and is likely to play in the AHL playoffs in Portland on Thursday night.
