Alexander Edler will sign a one-day contract with the Canucks on Oct. 11 ahead of his retirement.Edler didn't play in 2023-24, and he'll officially hang up his skates with a ceremonial signing with his original NHL team. The defenseman totaled 104 goals and 334 assists in 1,030 regular-season outings as well as 40 points across 93 playoff games.
